Started on the valve cover gaskets… realized I totally forgot to order the cam end plugs.. guess I’m waiting a few days to button everything back up lol! Got quite the build up on these bad boys too.

So now I have 10in/lbs on just the pinion, no ring gear in. And 18in/lbs with the diff buttoned up, this seems to be on par with Zuks write ups. But that is just what I have gathered.

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
The rollover I bought has now given its radio to my fathers truck to go along with the full rear axle. Finally. After 21 years, this truck has Bluetooth. I also tidied up the wiring

I'll be starting a thread soon, because I'm eager to start a conversation about a few things that standalone folks have yet to divulge on this forum.

If total assembled (pinion seal will add some drag) is 18inlbs then your in good shape. Was this a master rebuild, or you just putting in gears, old bearings?

So I have about 30 miles on my new rear end, all seems well no whine or anything, but im getting a clunk and what feels like the rear wheels binding up when breaking and turning at the same time. I assume this is the truetrac binding up, which should be happening.

    Anyone have experience with this?

    Changed a tail light bulb.

Previous owner spliced the trailer harness into the light assembly rather than the bed wiring harness, so it's impossible to fully remove the light housings now. They also left one screw missing and four of them with rounded-out heads. Luckily I had some junkyard spare screwss in my parts collection.

Drove the 98… removed the gas tank from the rollover, sold the tank and the dudes coming to get it today, and I cleaned out the 02 engine bay from the collection of dead birds something was stuffing in there… ew

[IMG] I didn’t get a pic of the engine bay mess. I was too pissed to do so so enjoy a photo of the 98

Built a canopy for the rear out of shit I found in my garage. Holds up a 6x8 tarp, and is held on with a bolt at the front and the back, so it’s easy to remove.
