Does anyone have any experiences with the Dobinsons MRR/MRA lift?
My wife and I were thinking of that for her 4Runner. I like the idea of adjustability. Not sure if that’s realistic to always be changing while going on/off road and if it’s noticeable and worth the extra 2k over an OME or the like.

Yes. Just had installed on my 21 Taco. Love it! Easy to adjust and man the ride is incredible off and on road. Bought the Pro with the Fox shocks from Toyota. That was nice. This is waaaaaaay better.

Nice! Is there a noticeable difference in ride when you adjust?

Yes. I followed Dobinsons recommendations on tuning the ride. Easy to do and takes very little time. I’ve had the Taco over 50mph over open ranch land here in South Texas and the truck just glides. Very happy with the purchase. And I have to say Dobinsons very easy to work with and they explain everything.

I was starting to lean towards something simple and cheap like OME Nitrocharger like what’s on my taco but now you are making me want to do adjustable for the 4R. It’s going to be our main off road rig. I like the idea of adjustability to make it soft off road and going up to higher trail heads. And then stiffen it back up a little for on road. How big of bumps can you cruise over at speed? How about larger rocks at slower speed? We hit a lot of trails with soccer ball-basketball size rocks.

Did you install yourself? What location are your reservoirs in front wheel wells?

Haven’t done any rock climbing. Mostly open prairie and mudding. Not smooth terrain by any means but not flat. Just raw open land with cattle. Kinda hard to explain.

That was written howy suspension went first nitro second BP 51s and now dobs. Won't go with anything else for shocks and front coils now sticking with dobs.

My own experience so far with the MRR is amazing. I first started out with 5100 all around with OME 887 coils. I later upgrade the coils to OME 886 due to the 887 sagging. From the 5100+886 to the Dobinson MRR there is no comparison at all because the MRR are adjustable and you can adjust to your liking. The only thing I'm more concern of is how long would they last.
