Did anyone find out the cause of this? I have the same exact problem on my 2017 trd pro.

Well after several visits to the dealer they changed the vacuum pump twice and still no luck. I have 3 months left on my warranty and about 20k miles.

I don’t drive the taco as often but the noise is still there. I decided to take it in this week before the warranty is up. Feel free to PM and I can keep you updated as I don’t frequent the forums.

Okay I really appreciate it. Mine sounds identical. My neighbor said it was an exhaust manifold leak. I'm worried it's something worse.

Some of these 3.5's i've heard are a lot louder than others, yet they don't seem any worse for wear then the quieter ones. I'd be curious to know the reason why.

You sure it's not the infamous Toyota Tick? Many threads in here on it.

This is definitely not normal. I've had mine for 5 years and it just started doing it.
