I had a Covercraft for my Corvette; damn that thing took up a fuck ton of space when not in use. Never again.

i hit the link to check them out. On sale for ~$65 right now. Apparently it only comes in the ‘non go pro mount’ version of the OffRoad. Lol.

I got that one from Amazon. It's tacoma specific and fits very well to block out sun rays. It a lot more heavy duty than the other more generic one I had. It's not as good as the foil faced accordion types for heat though. I store mine between the seat and center console. I also made cardboard cut outs to stick in the front windows again mainly for blocking light.

My wife has ceramic all around in her volvo wagon. That still gets as hot as my truck so neither one really stays cool.

Instead if comparing hot to cool it's more like comparing burn to hot so they both are working.

my past experience it seems to me that the ones fold up like an accordion or roll up style use glue and emit a gas when hot that puts a cloudy film on the windshield sometimes

That's the problem. Always having to move that SOB around. Hated that thing. It is just a windshield cover that will be used every so often, why am I making accommodations for it instead of the other way around? Good effing riddance.

I guess some people have a lower tolerance for inconvenience. I use mine every sunny day and it's never been a problem for four years.

That's the thing about some of TW. They brag about something without the caveats. Most times the faults don't get mentioned. Wish I had someone to say, hey what about this, before I purchased that POS. It's a new century now. They have these twisty folding things that do the job.

LOL! Cramped trucks. Funny shit right there. I have a access cab and I have no issue folding it up and laying it behind the passenger seat.

I also have the Autotech one from Amazon. Fits perfectly. Also have ceramic tint throughout including the front windshield. Couple of hours at my local tint shop about $800.00 (cash only but they still give you the warranty) Makes a huge difference in the Florida heat.

IKR? In this new century they have these twisty foldy things that do the job when you want and get the hell out of the way when you don't. Funny as shit right there.

Not a fair comparison as no humans ever sit in the back of a access cab truck. That space is exclusively for fast food wrappers, empty beer cans, and maybe a windshield shade depending on how much beer you drink.

I ordered one of the preferred flip-foldie kinds. Will see if it lives up to the reputation.
