Technically we don't. Until it is officially announced, that is nothing more than a concept. The final product may not look quite the same. I definitely wouldn't complain if that was what it turned out to be though. It's sharp!

Personally, I never cared for the design of the 2nd gen trucks. Too rounded for my liking.

Nah…1st Gen years 2001-04 were the best looking Tacomas.

My 3G blows my 1st out of the water, more power, better fuel economy, nicer interior, rides smoother. Only real complaint payload is a bit on the low side, but since it has better tow rating just move most things to the trailer.

Like the overall looks of the 3G, the front end is bit ridiculous looking to me. Which goes for most of Toyota’s current styling…why does it have to be so angry looking???

Trucks been squatted, no one wants it after that.

I'll be trading in my Maxima for a Crown.
Hilux 4.0, nothing like a proper low end, no top end power midsize truck motor. Yeah it gear hunts with the cruise activated. It's a midsize pick up, they aren't supposed to be driven with the cruise set.

They sell the 70 series with the 4.0…basic interior, solid axles, locking gas cap, no frills styling…just saying.

Not for me. But I do love the gigantic cupholders in our 4Runner. Very sad the Taco doesn't have those.

What would your opinions be if the 2024 Tacoma received the new motor that is in the 2023 Toyota Crown?

    Hybrid Max 2.4L turbo
Liquid cooled electric motors to drive the rear E-Axle
    340hp
    28mpg combined

Would rather have a 300-350hp NA V6 not asking for the impossible as far as hp numbers.
3.73 gear ratio, with Elocker rear axle.
What ever mpgs as a resault of this combo.

The new Toyota Crown kind of looks like an AMC Eagle.

Just changed my spark plugs and felt compelled to verbalize some profanity on both sides of the Toyota name when accessing the driver’s side plugs. Toyota can always find a way to cram too much stuff into a small area.

They might have a way too pack all that in the engine bay of the new Tacoma. I still don't know what kind of space is under the hood. The new Tundra engine seems pretty stuffed. I don't know if Toyota is doing anyone who is going to work on a TNGA-F truck any favors.

The setup is for front wheel drive in that CROWN. Most likely the engine will be place parallel with the truck lengthwise like the 4 cyls are now. But you never know.

I watched the video and thought the same thing. And they said this combo is only in the AWD configuration for the crown.
