I'm dumb and bought the wrong one. Belive this only works with 98-00 trucks. Tried installing before realizing the airbag plug is different, otherwise brand new. $120 shipped.

    1st guy hasn't followed up.

I'll sell it to whoever can pay first.

FYI - it DOES NOT fit an 01. I fell for the same thing.

I bet it fits some 01 trucks. They might have changed the design mid-model-year. I think they did the same in '98, when they added pre-tensioners. Do you have bench or bucket seats (still not sure if that's the deciding factor, but I'm curious).

A close-up of the buckle might help people figure out whether it will fit their truck.

I'll take a pic of the buckle, but I'm pretty sure the airbag plug is the only difference.

Truck had factory buckets. Could be a mid-model year switch because this incorrect belt said 98-01, and the replacement I ordered say 01-03. :notsure:

That thought crossed my mind, but I would need to source the correct plug to match the belt, and splicing wires on safety components concerns me a little.

I've seen a few people talk about buckle compatibility problems when doing seat swaps. No idea if the buckle differences are due to changes in safety standards (like the addition of pretensioners), different suppliers (possibly due to model year, trim, seat style, color, anything really...), or maybe it's just 4Runner vs Tacoma difference.

Anyway, I didn't mean to turn this into a discussion thread. I wish I could use it, but my truck isn't set up for pretensioners. I hope you find a buyer!
