Loonies, toonies, set of wheels in the boonies…the real story is Larry is looking at wheels. I think y’all peer pressured the boy into shopping for bigger tires. Congrats to TW making people spend money yet again lol.

I went with the ones that RotoPax make. Couldn't stomach the price on the Max Trax. Got decent reviews. I hope to not need them, so the investment at $100 was doable for me. They are "flimsier" feeling, but I have yet to even take them off the truck. They are very clear that you cannot spin the tires on them. Stack very tight which I like and use the RotoPax mount. I see they are $160 now, but that is still half of the others...

One of us guys? How about someone in northern Wisconsin who's looking for bigger tires?

Late reply, but this hadn't clicked before.

I didn't. But, my ex probably does.

I just said that a depth gauge would have been better. It's a good tool to have, cheap and small. Mine lives in the console.

Taco truck in our neighborhood yesterday!
The neighbor hired them for his party.
    Quesadillas were amazing.

They aren't wide enough... @WiscoPat has what I need. Gonna pull the trigger just haven't committed yet. Also getting some UCA's that will allow this all to happen from @BEAR_KNIFE_FIGHT. Spending freely... Springs, Hammer Hangers on and on it goes.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...

Oh there will be some mods all right
Took the long way home and super glad I did. Found a whole bunch more beauty that our wonderful state has to offer.

Very nice, whereabouts are those rapids at? They look familiar.

The Silver Lake, MI dunes did not disappoint - a long haul to and from there but an awesome experience. The 80 did well, albeit bottoming out a few times when trying to gauge the dunes.

    20220716_092413.jpg

The event held there was "heroes on the dunes," where vets could come and get rides on sandrails, sxs, trophy trucks, you name it. The event aside, this might be on the to-do list for a weekend outing with this group at some point in the future; would definitely recommend taking the Milwaukee to Muskegon ferry.

Anyway, here are some things that struck me as cool while channeling my inner @Camerasandcoffee - enjoy!

    @Thatbassguy there in spirit.

I'd be interested in a group outing there. Looks like fun!

For sure, though I felt outnumbered by all the jeeps there! You'd have a particular advantage with a manual trans.

I thought that was the place! Water levels are just super low, it almost doesn't look the same. Apparently yous guys need some rain up dere, eh?
Looks like a good time, the 80 is looking nice!!
