I was thinking of getting liners. I keep hearing that they squeak and that would probably prevent that. Did you get ones with lips on the edges of the liners?

Yes. I got 3 rolls. Forgot the length but 1 roll for each pack plus a spare which I had to tap into when I stepped up to option 2.

Did you get rid of the little metal pads where the centerpin goes? And did you need extended centerpin?

No and no, at least not for option 1 or 2. I've heard you might need longer ones (longer than the others provided by icon) for option 3 when you use leaf liners. I likely need shims anyway so I'm not terribly concerned.

I don't know if it was the right call to keep the brass spacers with the liners or not. My research at the time didn't shed light one way or the other.

option 3 has been on for a couple
of months now! no complaints or vibrations. and holds weight perfectly with all camping stuff and other things. if you decide to move stages. make sure you grease bushings and metal sleeves! i haven’t had any squeaking ever since

Are you confident that you're getting your squeaking from the bushings? Not saying that you're not of course, but past experience tells me that the squeaking generally eminates from where the leafs themselves make contact with one another. If that's the case I often times will recommend what I call the "bicycle tire" method to quiet them down. I have had 100% success with it, and it's cheap. Certainly worth a try over replacing your eyelet bushings.

Had my Friend jump on the tailgate while I listened and it's more of a creak noise than a squeak. I'm about 99% sure it is the bushings. I will definitely give your "bicycle tire" method a try.

    Hey, Folks.

The rear shock fitments with the packs comes up from time to time. To help, could a couple folks that have either the Option 2 or Option 3 packs measure the pack thickness at the axle? I'll add them to my little spreadsheet so that folks can do some easy measurements to see if they need new bump stops to get all of the travel available.

    Thanks!
