Purchased Hornit Clugs to organize the bikes in the garage. All of the bikes run between 2.25 and 2.35 on the front and using the MTB size, the XL was too large. They work great and did not see the Pro model until after I bought the original from another distributor. I will modify these with a strap for winter storage. They work great and a lot better than hanging them, less chance of dropping them. (And yes my garage walls need tending to, the taping job from the original builder was horrendous)

I think I have a Topeak pump mount still in the package - I just carry my pump in my pack. And yes I carry a pack with tons of crap in it. If you need brake pads on n the trail just flag me down. Shimano only though. Anyway, if you strike out finding one LMK and
    I could pass it on.

Excellent. Haven’t ridden over there in decades. My dad said the trails are much better than they were.

I was just over the range on Burton. No riding or surfing for me. Just fam time. It seems the ski puts my bro to sleep

yea im actually looking for a topeak peak dx II mount and a race rocket mtb mount. i found some european websites but after shipping and everything it was around $40-50 for just the mount. i hate to be wasteful but for that price i would just buy a new pump package.

i started wondering if i could find something on thingiverse or have someone 3d print one for me

I do actually! My buddy has done totally fine mountain biking with a partial knee replacement. He doesn't go for the real techy climbs like he used to, but he can grind up a climb just fine.

For whatever it's worth, I totally agree with all the feedback to get another opinion. What you're doctor is telling you about road biking vs mountain biking doesn't make sense. My relevant experience here is that I've had cartilage damage of my femoral condyle since I was 20, requiring 4 surgeries total now. It bothers me off/on and recently got pretty bad. One doctor told me that I'd need a knee replacement and should stop doing all my activities (including biking). I got another opinion from an Ortho that referred me to his PT that specializes in outdoors athletes. They agreed that a simple arthroscopy to clean things up and a good PT regimen would suffice. I've been pain free and biking hard since. I highly recommend finding a specialist that understands your activities or at least getting multiple opinions.

This has happened to me once and then I duct taped one to the underside of my saddle! I'm actually not even positive it's still taped there...

This also reminds me that I had a good find for those that like to carry spares but don't like using a pack. Just picked these up: https://www.rei.com/product/201768/...Y4rjB27KdMOcc5cRxTkaAl6PEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

I have the same pair of their shorts and they're great. $15 is a deal!

For levers, you should try the cush core bead dropper tool. It's super stiff and has a nice handle to get a grip on compared to the smaller plastic ones

I thought about the cushcore as @backcountryj also suggested them, but at 1.50 or so a lever I had to jump on this discount for the Pedros.

Love those shorts, riding bikes or around town, the rubber band in them is great at holding them up is great. I've only bought the 9" version since the 11" v2 are still pricey even with $30 off.

having had to retape my rim at least twice due to messing up the tape with a variety of different tools, is this actually worth it and wont ruin my tape again?

Oh yea I wouldn't carry one of those on the trail. I was just suggesting it for more of a shop tool at home.

I have the 10" hybrid ones which it looks like they don't make anymore. Ordered them back in November of 2021.
I like the buckle on the V2 ones

Tbh I haven't used mine yet, but I bought it because I was struggling with swapping tires with my tannus inserts in and using the pedros levers.
I can't imagine it would be any different than any other lever though in terms of affecting the rim tape. I've never really had an issue with the rim tape and swapping tires.

I highly recommend taking the shuttle up, and riding Foose's or Green's. Probably Green's. Such a rad trail. Got on it 3 weeks ago, right after they got the trees all cleared out and it was a rowdy ripping good time.
There was some good discussion on this a few pages back.
There is a several mile dirt road then highway shoulder ride back to the pickup, but is 100% worth it for the rest of the experience. And you'll usually have a tailwind to push you along. And Elevation Brewing is right there too.

The full Rainbow Epic is pretty tough, and I wouldnt really recommend going out there alone... lots of get-lost-portunities

there used to be a guy on here, but he found new employment.

Trial and error is my way for getting discounts, try a few websites and discount codes, most are waste of time, but 10 minutes could save you 5 more percent.

Mombasa brand awnings seem pretty legit. Remember a few people in one of the TW threads running them. 3m awning for $368

Also, just looked and 23Zero, local to me, has a 3m for $325. They're a great outfit.

Capital One has a browser extension that tries coupon codes, at checkout. Its found a few for me across different websites, and has saved me a few bucks. You don't need a Capital One card or account to use it either, which is nice.
