Found my old Tacoma for sale in Alabama. Guy is asking $21,000. 204,000 miles. I offered $16,000 but he turned it down. Fml

That’s terrible, how does insurance handle that. Does the tree property owner buck up some cash for repairs?

Homeowner's insurance covers it if they choose to file a claim, presuming the tree fell through no fault of the tree owner. Like the tree owner wasn't trying to cut it down and it fell the wrong way. If it falls due to natural circmstances ie., wind damage, it is on the homeowner to file a claim.

If it fell due to act of god, natural disaster, storm, or similar; then it falls on the homeowner despite the tree originating on someone else’s property.

now; if the neighbor was intentionally cutting down the tree and it hit his house, then that falls on the neighbors insurance to cover the losses and/or damages.

Yeah, tracking that. Just wondering if there were any circumstances… such as the tree was diseased, dead etc. and should have been cut down by the other party as precaution.

My kids want to keep the Jeep. I’d really be better off in a Tundra Crewmax with a bench front seat. That way I can fit all my kids. I just figured I’d try and offer something on it. It’s hard to pay a premium price for something I built and paid for once already. Never should have sold it.

You'd have to somehow prove negligence on the part of the tree owner.

I have to make a claim. Of all the trees I have cut down of course it had to have been a neighbors tree. I was going to leave some trees next to the house but after this happened I am going to cut down a lot more this winter. Tree in red was the one that fell. Everything inside of the blue I am going to cut down. Should still have enough shade from the sun.

Best to check the load at the breaker so you then take all the wiring/connections into account for the full amp load the breaker is seeing. However, if you're not comfortable removing the front of your power panel to access the wires going into the breaker, then you could check at the hot water heater element(s) wiring where the load will be. I don't know your wiring schematic, but I doubt the thermostat has much, if any loading. I would use a Fluke clamp on or similar. Best.

The used car market is starting to slow down. Mfg are starting to have inventory again so the whole new car shortage will be gone soon. Also with rising rates and inflation, you’ll see prices start to come down real soon.

Maybe . I had a buddy yesterday sell his 4th gen 4Runners with 231k and v6 for 16k . Had a basic lift not so big of a tire stock rims. It's nice looking but it was still fairly stock. Hell my 08 4Runner with the V8. I've been offered 20 to 22K for it and I've thought about selling it too

We aren't. Still limited inventory with most cars sold before they ever get here. We MIGHT have 5 new cars on the lot at any given moment.

 Damn man! Sorry to see that. Lucky it wasn't worse. From my understanding, neighbor's tree, neighbor's responsibility. But you might want to ask your insurance company.
