Morning 50+

 

Good morning all,

I have some rental houses and one of them is occupied by a young lady, her boyfriend, and her younger brother. They’re all in their early 20’s. I was over there yesterday and noticed this.

Yep, that’s a melted garbage can. They put the remnants of their fireworks in the can and they were still hot enough to catch the garbage on fire and melt the can. Surprisingly no damage to the house.

I guess I could have strung this out for an idiot report.

No rain over the weekend, headed to the wife’s business to get the grass mowed, rain in the forecast for the rest of the week .

 

Very sorry. We lost 2 cats and a dog, all in the space of 5 months. That was tough.

Have you ever been to the Sequoia Nat park near Kings canyon ???? , that's were the tallest and oldest Sequoia is . That tree is named General Sherman and is 275' tall and over 2200yrs old

Good morning folks from the Ranger Station. Got to fix this internet problem next chance I get.

We got a ton of rain, wind, and lightning. That cell went right over us on this side of Front Royal. I haven't heard or seen an electrical storm like that for a long while

Good morning everyone! Been really busy lately, so haven't been able to hang in here as much. Hope all have been well.

 

We'll be there next year Chuck. Got to let this gas situation settle down a little. We've got some family business that will take us into September and then we'll see. Fall will be up Northeast I hope.

From the last t storm , very heavy downpour with 5" per hour rainfall resulted in a flooded walkway and flooded street in front of the house

 

Morning all

 

These are the coastal redwoods and the 2nd growth, only about 100 years old. They grow in a ring around the old stump. The big ones are along the avenue of the giants (The drive along the park). These are the tallest trees in the world, and the trees in the Sequoia and kings canyon parks are the biggest in diameter. They are both amazing trees to see.
