    Morning all.

was a long weekend from Thursday on. Drive 5 hours to the field then played 2 games back to back. Won the first, lost the second.
Played 1 game on Friday and lost. Another game on Saturday also lost.
That put us in the consolation bracket for Sunday. Won our first game and then lost the second and we were done. Then had a 5 hour drive home. Got in around 11:30 last night.

All in all it was a blast. Girls had fun even with the losses. The trams we lost against were #2,3 and 4 in the state and play year round. We play for about 3 months. They played good and there was only 1 game that was a blowout. We were able to hold our own most of the time. Most games were very low scoring and missed by 1-2 runs.
Was a great group of kids and I really enjoyed helping coach them. Looking forward to next season but happy to have my summer now.

There was 16 teams in our age group so all together we played pretty well. Lots of teams that were out early. With the other age groups there was around 80 teams there this weekend.

    re the poll:
I would have gas if it was available and easy to run but no gas to the property and the tank is in about the middle of the second floor. So not worth the effort to change over

All electric here in my part of the county. Wish there was natural gas, but alas too far out. Propane is not an option.

When we moved in all the hot water was supplied by the tankless coil in the oil boiler. Problem was there was no tempering valve. So you had between 125° (low limit) to all the way up to 180° water. Was interesting trying to take a shower, let me tell ya! Couldn't immediately add an electric water heater as I didn't have the room in the electrical panel. Soon as that was installed I put one in and abandoned the tankless coil all together. Plumbing in this house is interesting to say the least since there's two sources of water; that was a mess trying to cut all that spaghetti out. Plenty more to go too

Sounds like my parents house. They put a water stove (basically a boiler) in back in the 80's with solar panels on the roof to heat the water in the summer and wood fired in the winter. When you took a shower you never knew where the valve needed to be.

Yea it was either ball shrinking cold to seventh layer of Hell! :annoyed:

All fixed though. Not too proud of the solder job to put adapters to go to PEX; hadn't soldered before with lead free and let me tell you that was a learning experience!

New gas water heater in my house. The supply line ruptured a while back. It was a PVC line with a slip joint. The slip joint came apart and flooded the kitchen where the water heater sits. So after a large project we now have new flooring, and pex lines under the house. Did I mention I hate Plumbing

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
To far out in the woods for Natural Gas.

Propane I would need a huge tank it would be a pain lugging 100 pounders all winter. No one ventures into my driveway in the winter after the first snow.

Electric I can fire the Generator up to get hot water if I need it that bad. With just me it is not that critical to have hot water.

I was going to use the wood stove to preheat the hot water and also use it to get hot water heat another project that never got finished.

We have natural gas heat and hot water. I like it a lot. Both will get hotter than hell if ya turn em up.
When the power goes out we have gas logs and hot water, so it's not that bad.

We have gas heat too but we have a well so no forced water. If the power goes out for long I hook the generator up

Years ago they ran natural gas out our way and the line runs right through our front yard.

    Electric water heater.

My dad broke me from calling them hot water heaters. He said if the water is already hot, why are you heating it? He can be a smartass sometimes.

We have such a weird mix-match of public utilities around here once you get out of towns. It's up to the township I recon. Some areas will have public sewer, but not water. Others will have public water, but not sewer. Not me, I'm on my own as far as water and waste
