got it handled. I don’t check for updates anymore because…life.
    Running Blackhawk now.

…must have been a bug. I had to restart VFtuner like 3-4 times.

so far (10 miles) I’m intrigued and smiling a little

Definitely an odd bug or something, that's just weird

Lol Blackhawk is like nothing else offered for NA as far as the community tunes go. We're very proud of it.

My faith is strong with this one. I can tell there is some torque increase in the low end… Looking forward to mile 600

    250ish mile update...

We went on a camping trip to the 1000 Islands last week. Most all of it was interstate driving at 70-80 MPH for 120 miles, maybe 200 pounds in gear. I'll start by saying that cruise control sucks. It's never been great, but for some reason it's really not good for me with this update. It hangs around 3000 RPM on slight uphill grades and doesn't like to upshift at all. When it does, it drops to 2000 RPM and stays there the whole time. It only shifts up to 6th on big downhill sections. I experimented with different speeds from 70 to 80 MPH and it acted the same.

Driving with the skinny pedal, it shifts pretty well. Most of the time I was hanging around 1600 RPM with the tranny going to half-lock to get up inclines. On bigger hills it shifts down to 4th but quickly upshifts once it crested them. I'm not sure why the discrepancy between cruise control and pedal control, but it's something I feel could be worked on.

Around town and on 55 MPH roads, it drives ok. Reason I say ok is it seems like the updated tune I got to fix the "brake override malfunction" issue isn't as strong as the last one. I'm sure it still needs some time to settle, but usually at this point I get a pretty good feel for how the tune is going to run. Keep in mind I'm running 87 octane, so I'm obviously not getting the full TQ/HP gains. However like I said before, the last iteration felt more powerful than this one. Still a decent tune so far, just a bit underwhelming for me.

You sir, are in need of the update. We had some issues arise with ~5% of our RegOL files and I'm guessing your being affected. I will get you the latest revision today. I'd like to apologize on behalf of our development team for this inconvenience. We'll get you squared away boss.

Has there 2 updates since the brake override malfunction issue came up? Cuz I got an updated file from you guys after I ran into that problem, and that's the one I've been running for 250ish miles.

Yes. To solve the limp mode as quickly as possible, there was an interim solution. It's since been finalized.

You are the best thank you for all your hard work and continuing effort. I never thought I would be getting 19mpg on 37s but with you anything is possible.

I previously posted about Blackhawk being too touchy. @Mooseditty17 hooked me up and adjusted the tip in. MUCH better. Truck feels great again like it did on Nexus. Also gotta say, I'm really really digging the offroad performance. My truck used to be pretty lurchy going up obstacles in 4 low, and I don't know if its just me or if something was actually done to improve 4 low throttle response but it feels like I've got a lot finer control than I used to have. Seems easier to just slowly walk up obstacles when I need to.

The off road performance of a well developed tune is a real thing. Being able to ease over obstacles, control the suspension bounce, and be smooth about it is definitely part of the tune.

I have an 80 acre farm with ATV trials that I spent countless hours on trying to perfect exactly this. Ideal throttle control and smoother shifting. Glad someone noticed my hard work.
