We have forced water on every side of us but they made them all mad and nobody will let them connect. Fine with me, we got a well. We have no sewer around us. Septic works great

We have a boiler but I wouldn’t hate an on demand setup.

    Electric for me.

My 85 gallon Marathon water heater died last February while I was on vacation. It was replaced with a 100 gallon Marathon.

Came across this while walking around with the insurance guy. Had to take a horrible picture of it.

I was thinking more along the lines of "it would be way easier to walk off with this than it would be to actually play... *counts*... 17 years of football".

Best thing we did 'bout 11 yrs ago was an on-demand water heater...we're natural gas heat and water heater. My wife, the bookkeeper, said it lowered our gas bill as soon as it went in. I like that we never run out of hot water ... during the "Inlaw Invasion" Summer 2014, with 14 people in the house, both showers running and dishes washing in kitchen ... it kept up just fine. That's when I was sure we made the right call switching over to it.

    Awesome! :101010:

We have an electric water heater in our house. That’s what we have always had. No natural gas anywhere close and don’t want a huge propane tank in the yard. Brother in law had a kerosene fired water heater. Seems to work but he always seems to be running out of kerosene.

had a house up the street explode couple years back. They just bought it and we’re having work done while they were at work. New propane tank out it and filled and a worker inside hit the line installing something. Owners got home and walked inside to smell propane, turned around and ran. Made it to the other side of the street and the whole thing went up. Blew the walls right out and the roof was lying on top. We had a shockwave on our back door about 3/4 of a mile away. Was able to see the explosion and fireball from the security cameras at work the next day which was about 3 miles away

    Dang!

My cousins house did the same thing but it lifted it up and set it back down. Someone had been working under it doing something. They fixed it, sold it and built a new one and heat with a pellet stove now.

Yea, besides the price, that's the other reason I won't go propane. o_O

Unfortunately our heating is oil, but it is what it is. Fuel oil is $4.70 a gallon right now

    But offroad diesel is $4.49...:anonymous:

Same thing happened years ago my grandma's house. Gas stove plus match equaled boom. Her sense of smell was gone so we're betting there was a leak. She got a little singed but was otherwise fine. Blew the cat out the front window, though.

After thinking about this for 3-4 seconds, the cat may have just ran through the front window :D

I wouldn't put it past it.

Firefighters found it stunned in the bushes in front of the house.

Most anything is better than ceiling tiles...

I found lots of dirt, trash, insulation, crappy electrical workmanship (especially the public address system) and assorted building related crap in suspended ceilings over the years.

Odder were several ladies undergarmets -- and a mummified rotisserie chicken carcass. :confused:o_O
