Got picked up today, on a truck for final delivery at 07/18/2022 15:36:00 Congratulations!

 

Mine was in port on the eighth. I thought sure it was going to be on this boat too. It will be two weeks turn around if the bravery ace is the carrier. Then a week to get back and then port installed options if any will be installed in Newark. Thinking mid August earliest. Which for me was what dealer figured. I just thought being in Port July 8th it was ahead of schedule. They must have had a lot ready to move.

Quick question for the flock.....how long does it take from deposit to get a temp vin? Put down $500 deposit 3/17/22 on Lunar Rock MT DC Sport "all the way" at the local dealership. Call about once per month to "check in" and got nothing yet. They did call with a silver version on my exact build and I passed.
Luckily my 08 Tacoma is just entering her prime at 305K miles as my daily driver but my poor son is itching to get his mitts on it!

 

I put down $500 on 1/3/2022 for a Lunar Rock, white or Silver TRD Off Road DC manual transmission, still waiting. I was able to find another that was unspoken for another dealership, built on 7/11, hope to pick it up in early August.

 

There’s no real set timeline, it all depends on the allocations that the dealers are getting from Toyota. If your deposit is refundable, I’d consider finding a different dealer to also try to reserve a car and see if that’ll happen any sooner. That’s what I did and one came through while the other still has nothing in sight.

 

Dealers around my area do not take a deposit until there is a vehicle to reserve. For me I gave about 4 dealers a general idea of what I was looking for and they would text or call me with what they had coming in that was similar. Once I got the available vehicle we came to tentative agreed upon trade price and I put down a deposit to hold the incoming truck in my name.

 

Nothing that I've heard yet.

Tx all......Dealership here promised MSRP when many in RI and MA wouldn't and refundable deposit to boot so while I've been patient and loyal, probably time to cast the net out further.

 

I've been lurking here for a while. I ordered mine the first of March, knowing nothing of how hard it is to get some features; 6' bed, lunar rock, technology package... My dealer called today and has one that has almost everything I requested. Except the color. I feel petty turning it down, but I've never been able to get a new vehicle and I just didn't get that giddy feeling when I saw it. I'm willing to give up some things and like several of the colors, but this one just wasn't it (black). He gave me overnight to think about it, but said they will have no problem selling it tomorrow.

 

I put down a deposit on a TRD PRO on Aug 18 2021 just got allocated 6/6/22 and a temp vin with a build date last week. So took me almost a year.

 

Which dealership are you using? I'm up here in Massachusetts

 

Yeah, I've been in port since 06/30 - My dealer back in NOVEMBER said it would be late August / early September. He should pick my lottery numbers next!
