Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Damn, glad you're here to tell the tale! You can't trust anyone...even some bikers, unfortunately.

Did you get a look at your bike?

Not in a lot of detail. One of the firefighters stood it up and wheeled it up out of the road so it’s at least in one piece. It’s in a wrecker yard up in Denver where the accident was and I’m back home now about 70 miles away. Hoping to get in touch with them tomorrow so I can go up and check it out.

Tiffany’s put ~11k miles on her f750gs so far and it’s still surprising us. Love the bike - heard the 2022s will have the adjustable suspension too.

Glad to hear that! The number of "drivers" who spend more time staring into their lap than they do the road is insane. Legit sends me into a righteous fury.

Your empathy is g0d-level! I'd be even more pissed! Like, you effin' caused this and now you're too "traumatized" the gtf out of your car to help? Efffffffff you!

Probably. Thinking back on stuff the cop did tell one of the firefighters that they were both minors, so I guess the girls were only 16-17 years old.

Sorry to hear this, glad you didn't have any major injuries.

The girl that hit me was 18 years old... lot's of inexperienced and distracted drivers out there

Looking at the satellite view of the intersection she's lucky to have not been t-boned. I was second in line in the far left lane to make the turn. I don't think I saw her coming because the first car in line in the turn lane next to me would've blocked most of that view as it turned. I'm also lucky that she was not in one of the lanes further to the outside cause then she probably would've t-boned me.

Well, maybe it'll keep them from being distracted in the future!

Glad to hear you're doing alright brother

sounds like a best case scenario for you, no injuries, and not a devastating hit. Hopefully it works out as best in your favor as it can.

Glad you are okay! I am sure this was big learning lesson for that young girl and her friend. Just sucks it had to be at your expense.

Just went to the wrecker to grab my stuff and sign the bike over to the insurance to pick up. The bike took the hit really well in my opinion. The frame is probably bent/cracked but on the whole it’s not as bad as I envisioned. The boxer engine sticks out so far on both sides that the cylinder guards took most of the easily visible damage. Fuel injector was snapped off the right side head which is the side she hit. As soon as you turn the power on the bike starts to prime the pump and dumps fuel everywhere out of it.

Pretty sure that big wide boxer engine kept my leg safe too. Clear impact marks on the wheel, forks, fairing and engine and then nothing behind that point. Even a chunk of her bumper stuck in the cylinder head guard.

I’m not certain, I smashed the grille and bumper off with the bike. Looked like a mid 2000s Corolla or similar smallish sedan. Definitely played a role in me not being really hurt by being low enough I could just slide up onto it rather than get bounced off the front.

So I've been doing stupid Navi videos on youtube, right? Well the manufacturer of the universal tail tidy I used in one of my videos just emailed me and said they're making a new Navi specific one and want me to review/make a video on it in exchange for a free unit. Free tail tidy, score!:woot:
