When I go back to Maryland for my military training every once in a while, it is literally across the field from the NSA. So every time I make a phone call to my wife, I let them know it's going to be pretty boring, but they can listen if they want too.

Heck, they're in our neck of the woods too so to speak, I mean Saratoga Springs isn't that far away

Being on the Kaibab Plateau for a few days without signal certainly was enjoyable. Speaking with USFS folks, seeing manned fire lookouts, being offered a paper MVUM when we were speaking of Dog, Timp and Fire Points as destinations for day trips was a genuinely pleasant experience. There is a certain draw to the dis-connectedness. And by definition, anonymity that the area affords.

Slowish at work but the owner is up here and wants to talk and shoot the shit so havent been able to TW much.

Did get another job offer today for another company so thinking about going to him and tell him I am getting shopped around and see if he wants to do anything to keep me around. We are looking for a new assistant for me and was wanting me to go steal one from another business so might be a good time.

At my level, specialty skills have long been replaced by administrative/woke bullshit...which apparently you can take anywhere nowadays.

I used to think corporate IT was the devil...man, was I wrong

I unfortunately went down the rabbit hole of dental. Not administration but more so sensors and software and there's not too many companies out there
