Push (LOCK) button --≥≥≥≥ (3) ≤≤≤≤--times quickly.…then push (LOCK) again hold down UNTIL LIGHTS FLASH then your Tacoma will start!!!

Hope this helps those that are not able to get it to work.

It needs to be only 3 presses total with holding the third one rather than 3x quick then pushing lock again a fourth time and holding that last one.

That would have been amazing if it worked. Tried multiple times, no joy. Perhaps it just doesn't work on lowly SR5's?

I cringe writing this but I believe remote start requires a connected services subscription, even via keyfob. Do you have a connected services subscription?

I think this only works on the higher trim level trucks (trd or, sport, pro, limited)

Lock 4 times on the 4th push hold until lights blink!

That's the only way to get it to work for my 22 Offroad.

And it turns off when you open the door or whatever so what’s the point. Annoying

Yep with the subscription required as well, it just makes aftermarket more appealing. I'll probably buy an aftermarket remote start instead of renewing the subscription, the engine turning off when the door is opened is super annoying

Would have been awesome for the very cold MI Winter.

The worst part about the app and sub to me is that all you can do is turn it off and on. My coworker has an F-150, for free he can access the app which turns the truck on, he can adjust the temp and volume on his heating/AC. The tacoma just turns on and whatever you had the AC/heat set to is what it does. Left AC on low? welp, it's only going to be on low. Pointless really. I've used it here and there to keep the truck locked and turned on with AC when I had groceries in the car and needed to run into a store really quickly.

This worked with my 2022 Sport, but when I opened the door to turn it off the engine died.
Still a good option for warm up.
Although not much need for warm up in Hi
