Uncontrollable on the freeway

More than half of the time when the LCA bolts are loosened and then re-tightened with it in the air the LCA bushings tear when it's lowered to the ground. I did that to mine as well, tore the LCA bushings, and that's what the front end mechanic told me I did without me telling him I did it that way.

 

Good to know! Lesson learned... I guess I'm going to replace both sides... I'm at 175K, so it'll be a good idea to replace them.

Did you notice any symptoms for the teared bushing?

Also, do you know if Mevotech bushing are good?

 

Scripps Ranch is a suburb of San Diego (92131) , close to Miramar Air base where Top Gun #1 was filmed. We can hear the jets, helicopters and Osprey's most all day. There is a squadron of the latest jets stationed at Miramar, Raptors? Those suckers are really loud!
Used to it after all these years (37). When the Blue Angels fly for the Airshow I can see them up close from my backyard and deck. "The Sound of Freedom" The Blue Angels fly so low over my house you can see the pilot in the cockpit.
Occasionally we get some huge jets fly overhead on their approach to the airbase. Big lumbering C5's, makes you wonder how they stay in the air.
The problem with stupid drivers is they usually take out the innocent drivers.
