Unless I lie and call in sick to make a three day weekend in October...... Or we gamble in mid November, or 2023. Or we push Lolo a year and hit warren/edwardsburg instead at Labor Day.

Amazingly clear for July here. Little smoke. I'll be finishing this hike in the dark....

I think so. My coworker has family out there and the locals weren't too happy with that sign from the sound of it. Not smart to piss off the locals that'll keep you afloat in the off season.

Just saw a Ford Maverick for the time. Didn't hate it actually. Loved the size of it. 1st gen taco sized. Shame it's a unibody.

Oh nice! I would totally rock one of those if it didn't cost as much as a house. I could charge it at work and the range is good to get us to Billings and back easily. But doubt I'll ever be able to afford one.

Call me crazy, but I actually don't mind the Hyundai mini truck either.

Either would would be a great option for a practical daily that gets good mileage.

Yeah I don't like the Santa Cruz. Too Subaru Baja for me. But can see it being useful for some.

I just reached peak shitbox over here. Fixed the AC in the Corolla with mostly junkyard parts and crap I had in the garage.

The Maverick hybrid is almost the perfect daily. A base one at least has my eye. Great gas mileage, can haul 4 adults, dogs fit in the back, can haul loads to the dump, can haul our gear to the river, looks great, all for $20k.

On another note, Brett, didn't you take a year "off"?

Is it weird to not sit in a swamp, a concoction of dozens of strangers ass sweat of your drivers seat?

My VW cost a pretty penny to fix but damn is sitting in traffic when it's 103* out miserable.

Not a year, but I quit my job and went on a 4.5 month road trip last year. Was planning for 6 months, but an opportunity to own my own business fell in my lap and I had to make a quick decision. So that promptly ended my travels.

Hopefully it works out in the not-to-distant future to where I can spend more time traveling while managing my business.
