to clarify further, why would this be an issue if you’re replacing the OE sticker with another one, just different color.

I’ve got a new decal sticker on the way to replace my oe with the red to a matte black one.

I will be using a heat gun and a plastic “razor” blade to start peeling then slowly work my way until it’s removed. Then wipe down the area to make sure there’s no residue. Finally, use the wet method to apply the new decal.

Here, to get off-road permits, places like Big Cypress National Preserve & Everglades NP require you to have a fire extinguisher (& a shovel) and a few other items. You'd be surprised at how many fires are started by dry grass coming into contact with hot undercarriage parts...see it often enough.

The first leader of the de-badge movement never had badges to begin with.....

Just as bad as the guy who put 4X4 or TRD on a 4X2, .....
It all started from "sticker shock", a well know issue associated with pay now or cry later syndrome.

We have responded to multiple roadside fire caused by catalytic converters heating the grass on highways.
In Florida Troopers are instructed NOT to park in the median or roadside unless the grass has been mowed.
Even then with mowed grass if they sit long enough it will start a fire.,...... ask a cop if they ever did this, :D

That and dragging chains throwing sparks,.. ranks right next to improperly disposed of smoking materials.:bananadead:

Ball joint spacers and lift blocks, am I doing it right?
Wouldn't the factory sticker that was in the same spot do that as well? The truck is waxed with a hybrid ceramic wax and at some point will get a true ceramic coating. Having lived with a lot of vehicles in Florida I'm more worried about the roof and hood. That's were I see most paint issues.

Locking only with fobs & with door handle. I can lock with either occasionally, but it's a crap shoot to know which will work. I generally have to push the lock button on the fob multiple times until it finally works.

I should note that this has only been happening for a few weeks. The latest mods I did were a lift and MESO's 3rd brake light.

For the longest time I kept a little bandaid kit in the glove box, with larger, better equipped kits stored in the camper and house. I finally decided to rethink that and up my ifak game just a hair. :anonymous:

Still has bandaids, ibuprofen, and butt cream for minor things, but I rounded it out with a bit of extra gauze, compression bandages, and chest seals. Boo-boos happen. This might help.

I am just going to throw this out there,...

First aid kits a great for minor injuries,
I highly recommend someone with interest here call their Fire Department and ask when the next basic life support / CPR class is available.

Sometimes they are free to the public sometimes there is a minor fee, depends. It's worth every penny!
They teach you how to preserve and or save a life, bandaging, how to use proper torniquet applications and splinting.

Take the family or a friend, they will be the one that saves YOUR life.
A few hours of class may make the rest of someone's life.

A cell phone calls for help,... if you have a signal.
Then you wait and watch the person struggle and all you can think about is,..... what can I do?????

Make this call now and you will not worry about how to then.

Exterior detail job. I hate washing my cars now. I admit it, but once I get a house that may change.

Also - it does not matter how fast you drive I am convinced nothing will blow a pine needle off the hood. I could do mach 2 and that needle isn’t coming off.

Why though? Are trucks required to be scratched up? is there no pride in having a clean shiny truck?

I LOVE that cupholder setup. The GF had me do it in her 4Runner as well.

Remember how we were taught to only use a Tournquit if it was life or death as the limb would be lost? Not anymore! If you apply a Tourniquet mark the exact time you placed it on the limb as nowadays that limb can be saved up to 4 hours later. My city gives out free classes on First Aid and CPR. Get in touch with your Fire department to see what might be available in your area. Just do it.

I'm happy with the OEM Pro replacements. It was like $260 shipped for the pair. Alpha rex seems popular if you want something a bit more eye catching
