My first 13 years Water was carried from the Milk House to the kitchen to heat on the wood stove.

To me indoor plumbing and electric seem like a luxury .

 

House accounts like this were common years ago I remember having a receipt book for every account the truck number and the drivers printed name on every sale the balance would be paid every week.

Everyone is hurting you made the right call!!

 

We have a few accounts that pay at the end of the month, those are the best customers we have. You learn quick who you can and can't do that with. The daily ones are sketchy but when they take advantage of us, no more.

 

My friend had a filling station for 40 years, he offered accounts for regular business customers - no fee, just pay every month.

Most folks were good but occasionally there was the guy who wanted to push the system.

He is soft hearted -- his wife however is the "business" side of the business.

I know quite a few smaller businesses the wife does the business end the husband does the hands on work.

you don`t mess with any of those woman.

 

That's the way it is with us, I am a non confrontational person. My wife, she will mash your face in the oak tree out front while getting what money you have on you

Service people like myself don't have to be confrontational mostly, we have other methods...

Phone conversation with snarky area supervisor: "Sorry, we won't be able to get back down to your air conditioner for a few hours, we have to repair the actuator..."

To co-worker: "Want to have a coffee?"

 

In my case it all depends if it is something personal or something that can reflect back on my employer .

It takes quite a lot to get me to the point of getting physical.

 

I generally only get confrontational after the other person has done something so stupid and opposite of what they should have done that it defies all logic, reason and rationale.

So, I have to get confrontational with vendors on the daily.

 

This is the gas/sulphur fixing well cap.
Just an oil tank vent on an aluminum pipe. I was amazed at the difference it made.

 

Vendors are the worst, my wife deals with the same ones at the store every week. Most of the time it's delivery drivers being lazy.
