Nice. Now time to find a turbo company and tell them to build a unit which you'll review for them.

I installed some new headlights yesterday, despite me saying there was nothing I wanted to do to the bike lol. Looks great, built by fellow TW member MattGecko as well. Lost one of the fairing shoulder washers, and having a hell of a time finding a replacement online that isn't full fairing fastener kit. Also burned my knuckle on the exhaust this morning while I was fingering the belly pan to see if I could feel it there lol.

I didn't realize they did full size motorcycles, iiiiinteresting. I've seen their electric mountain bikes and was always impressed

i felt that way for many years...

IMHO, the key is not comparing it to an ICE engine

its just another option, another tool, another toy.

it took a few first hand experiences, but now I can finally appreciate it

In my area all of the Tesla drivers are so "entitled" .. Even more so than BMW drivers that dont use signals, and get primo parking spots:rofl: Maybe Id be interested in a Hummer EV, but give me a Hummer H1

I want to get into a car to drive, not to be entertained by electronics, and self driving, etc. Same with the bike. Plus arent the ranges not comparable? Example: HD Livewire. Sure it looks cool, but can it do 200 miles? And isnt the whole thing with Harley and Im a believer in it, heard first, then seen? I get that people arent looking for bikes. And I dont want to be obnoxiously loud, but I like having people look when I am coming. I want to be heard, in that sense.

I dont have alot of opinions here, and dont really care to argue. Not ready to change on this..

I get that it's just another tool. I just don't see it as the tool I need for the type of work that I do.

If my bike is totaled I’m considering the new Energica Experia EV bike. Something fun and different, has decent range and looks as well. And it sounds like a TIE fighter and I’m a nerd.

I wouldn't mind an electric street legal anything just for the fun and novelty of it.

I would agree but don’t want to get my hopes up. I will fight it if they don’t total it, I don’t want a bike with a frame repair. A repaired four wheel vehicle I’m more ok with since there’s more room for errors to happen that won’t kill me when one wheel falls off.

I'm of the same opinion largely. Sometimes I like to take long rides with my bike, and don't want to have to stress about whether I'll make it back to a charging station in time, or limit my rides based on such. Same with the sound...I wouldn't say I'm obnoxiously loud with this new bike or the previous, but I appreciate being heard, and it's much appreciated when I see people moving over when I do need to lane split. Plus nothing beats the sound of a nice exhaust.

I wouldn't claim they save lives, but it certainly helps with low speed lane splitting and filtering.

And I don't think anyone would argue that being able to hear a motorcycle has no effectual difference on a car driver than not hearing one and being surprised by one.

Ultimately, loud pipes are just a pleasure to listen to, within reason of course.
