The UK being all over the news with triple degree heat




Although I can't imagine going through that with hardly any AC cooled buildings to hang out in.

 

Not only that, but so much of their infrastructure is stone buildings... so all these constant heat causes the houses and businesses themselves to become little convection heaters overnight.

Plus given their latitude, it was be the equivalent of Canada having record breaking heatwaves

 

Canada did get some crazy heat waves last summer if I recall...but yeah their infrastructure is not built for that.

Last time I was in the UK was in ~2005 in the summer and I remember it being hot as balls when we were in London and Bath. It was super humid though so it probably wasn't as hot as it felt.

A lot of the stone buildings retain heat additional heat which is great for winters... Not so much these days

 

Not only that, but I guess all sorts of stuff is catching fire in London?

And not like boring wildland fires, but urban/suburban building fires.
