I think they run a special once a year or so where you can get the 2 X 4ah 2pack with charger and select the blower as a free tool at Home Depot for $199. However I would not suggest running the blower without at least a 6ah battery unless you are just doing some quick clean up.

I see they are coming out with next gen of tools like the impact driver. Probably why you could get the current one with 3 5.0’s for 250. Still thinking I’ll wait for next gen. My stuff is starting to get worn out.

This is the deal I went with. Yeah, the blower isn’t great with the 4ah batteries but it works for blowing off the sidewalk and deck. Anything else I fire up the gas powered blower.

I'm here to follow up report (brief) on the aftermarket M12 "6Ah" and "9Ah" batteries.

First of all I have been wary. The DeWalt 20VMax aftermarket batteries I have tried have been garbage. Pure shit. One set they did give me my $ back.

The 1.5Ah and other small form factors I will not mention here, but PowerExtra and others, no issues to report. I have so many of the small ones mixed in they get lost in the shuffle.

    6Ah and 9Ah:

Waitley 6Ah: Same basic size as Milwaukee XC 6Ah. No rubberized base. Waitley plastic seems a little more flimsy, have not dropped yet. That said. For $21 this is well worth the money. I use the heck out of the battery. Owned since March. Drives tools hard, no over heating. Lasts and lasts, charges fine.

    https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XWVWT8J?ie=UTF8

Waitley 9Ah: Same basic review as 6Ah, but this thing is HURKY. But doesn't seem to imbalance tools. Even driven extremely hard, the charge is still there. $32? Crazy inexpensive. Drawback: too large for square LED lamp and will not sit flat. Heavy as mentioned but does not significantly throw off the COG of saws, drivers, etc...

    https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XX7T71W?ie=UTF8

Here's the deal: I liked each so much I just ordered more. A Milwaukee 6.0 Ah is $100-$150

Is this a Fall deal? In all reality I just need this for blowing out the garage and patio. I don't really need more yard tools but could upgrade drill motor/rattle gun.

The deals on OPE usually occur in the spring quarter

Also, Milwaukee just announced a dual M18 battery blower...#muchCFM

If you're going to start fresh with a Brand, for yard tools the Ego brand is pretty nice. This new blower has 765 CFM (compared to 450). They also have a new auto load and auto feed string trimmer. /hijack

I bought a Ryobi Brushless One+HP 16" Mower for within my fenced area for my 16'x40' patch of high quality lawn.

It appears that my Ryobi 4aH batteries are not enough, the mower stops and won't restart, the manual tells me the battery has over heated if this happens. So here is my proposition: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09XX7XX1V with my Milwaukee M18 12.0aH HighOutput battery.

Is this a good idea or am I nuts?

Still running a gas mower but have been wondering the same thing about putting better batts in the <$300 Ryobi electric mower. The adapter probably works but the question is if the brushless speed controller can handle the greater current from the better batts.

If you find it works out, let me know!

Can't go wrong with an EGO mower; I've mowed both front and rear several times and have yet to charge it.

I only have 1000 sq/ft of grass in the back, and 500 sq/ft up front so not much grass.

If you have a bigger yard, opt for the self-propelled model.

That’s a nice mower. The neighbors have that one I borrowed the other week when my gas mower was acting up (still is). I decided to try the Ryobi because I already have the batteries. It may have been a mistake as the mow quality is average or below and the EGO mower is above average and clean cutting.

I might try mowing 1 more time with the Ryobi and decide if I’m going to keep it or decide it’s not good enough.

Home Depot dropped Ego for whatever reason. I'd take that Ryobi back and head straight for Lowes or Ace and buy Ego if it were me. I have the backpack blower, powerload string trimmer, 110 volt inverter, and 18" chainsaw. Make sure you register it, and call in if the battery acts up. Don't let the warranty/free replacement time period pass you up.
