I've purchased a SR5 cable driven gauge cluster for a my 1989 toyota pickup, the sr5 cluster was out of a 3vze. I've done some research on how to do the swap and I have some questions. First is do I have to wire in the tachometer (my truck is the dlx so it has never had a tach) or would it be plug and play? Also do I have to worry about changing the oil pressure sending unit? on the directional videos they say that I have to buy a sending unit for an sr5 or it will fry the new cluster, however they all had the 22re and I have the 3vze, so will the stock oil pressure unit in my truck work, and if it won't where do I find one?

The tach wire may be in your harness already, mine was. You need the oil pressure sensor too. Look at the exploded views at the online parts sites to get the right part number. If your donor cluster is for a 4 cylinder, you will need to change some resistor or something on the back to get the tach to read right for the V6.
