On the house battery I have my Bussmann RTMR which powers all of my accessory lighting. I left 2 more fuse holders on the house battery for a 1,000W inverter and another Bussmann (or similar) in the near future. You can see the thick 1/0 feeder cable to handle all of that. On the crank battery I left an extra fuse holder for my air compressor which I need to rewire. The factory wiring harness is trashed. I only put a 4 awg feeder on the crank battery since the ARB compressor is fairly low draw.

I ordered the backseat storage net someone here makes, and some TRD Pro tailights. Both will arrive on Thursday and I'm pretty excited!

A good alignment tech is hard to find, especially one familiar with a lifted Tacoma.

I'm not against shiny trucks, in fact I enjoy detailing cars when I have the time/space to do it. But for me it's not realistic to do with my Tacoma. I have a LOT of pinstripes from off-roading. In fact, knowing I was going to have pinstripes was one of the motovators for getting a cement colored truck instead of something that would show pinstripes more prominently, i.e. AG for example.

I say all of this because Tacomas have a thin layer of clearcoat to work with when doing paint correcting and polishing. Could I go out and try to fix my pinstripes? Sure, but there are only so many times I could do that before I start cutting through the paint itself.

Some people think I treat my truck hard and neglect it, but in a twisted way by not fixing paint/body damage I'm doing the best thing I can for the truck given that I'm going to continue to off-road in it.

Big facts. They specialize in lowered Italian cars (Ferraris, Lambos, etc) but they know how sensitive these trucks are. Their process is to put the vehicle on the rack and do the initial alignment, then remove the heads, back vehicle off of lift and let suspension de-stress, then drive back on the lift and align again.

I'm the same way I like keeping my truck looking as nice as possible but it is after all a truck and a means to an end for me. That being getting out as far away from people and civilization as possible. And doing 70 in a dry lake bed or crawling up some fire roads. I spent 2 days polishing out all of the bush rash after my first extended trip but realized the futility after my second trip. It does bother me some but it's totally worth the trade off IMO. The adventures I have had in the short time I have had my Tacoma are worth every single battle scar. Including ripping off most of my bumper and destroying the brand new skid plate.

Did the front emblem again .. only this time used vivid light smoke something or the other.. looks pretty good I think... just looking to tone down that chrome... I would've preferred a black grey not a redish grey but still looks good.

Got my TRD skid plate clone from Lostar. Painted the “TRD” on it. There must be some kind of coating on it though because the paint doesn’t seem to stick as well as I’d hoped. I think it will be fine after it cures. The plate itself is pretty heavy duty and seems well made. For half the price of the OEM I think it’s worth it. I don’t do any heavy off roading anyway. It was more for the ease of oil changes having that little door instead of removing the entire front skid plate each time. 44016697-3BDB-4579-A362-29F2C267C309.jpg Install coming soon.

Envious of those who can wash/detail now. It's 108 today, 111 tomorrow; second week in a row of 110 or so. :bananadead: My truck is currently covered in dust/dirt. :anonymous:

So this gonna be a '23?
I heard a rumor several months back that no more 22 Pros to be built....but again it was rumor.
That and 23's should be hitting dealers late sept early oct.
