It does. We had to spend a couple hours at altitude after each dive before we could go home. I forget the math off the top of my head, but a 60 foot dive at tahoe means you plan for 90 feet at sea level or something close to that. We weren't allowed to have dive watches either. Was all done on the dive wheel and a notebook.

Like learning to fly an airplane in IMC conditions when there's a GPS available but you're only allowed to use the VOR radio.


Being neutrally buoyant, upside down, and just chilling and looking around is about as close as you can get to being in space without stroking musk for the privilege
