Did you do the full Narrow's trail? Went from top to bottom back in 2000. Camped 1/2 way down. Was an amazing trip

U lost camera gear - oh man - sad - which begs the question, is there insurance we can get on camera equipment? I got about $5k in my gear
as well and it would hurt to lose it. I think there is commercial stuff out there for photographers who make a living with it. I wonder if homeowners
    would cover such an event.

I don't think he lost his gear he was just saying if he turned back because the rocks were slippery and he didn't want to loose it.

    Anybody lose a plate?
I ran over a license plate that someone used 1” bolts to “secure”. It made a lot of racket spinning around the wheel well until the plate broke off the bolt. I had to use a ratchet to back out the bolt.
Quick fix and back on the hunt for a late evening campsite.

Looks good! I am a sucker for some good carnitas!

Do you end up mixing that all together, or do you keep them separate and let the individual pick what they want?

I like to keep it all separate so people can add heat, omit onion, etc. It allows people to build a burro, pulled pork sammie, or just a plate of meat. It helps with keeping leftovers too (if they exist). Cooking is my favorite part of car/truck camping.

Had a one for breakfast! Marquette then porcupine mountains, Duluth, Thunder Bay. (Pic of ore dock at Marquette—- if this post is annoying or rambling sorry I’ve been at Ore dock brewery for the last few hours. Great beer)

you're going to miss the Keweenaw?

Lake of the Clouds is a must, if you have the time take a drive out to Black River Harbor north of Bessemer, there are a bunch of waterfalls on the way out, as well as Copper Peak if your not afraid of heights.

South Shore Brewing is a good spot for lunch in Ashland on the way over to Duluth. If you head up the shore from Duluth, Split Rock state park and light house is a nice stop.
