Looking go upgrade my tacomas suspension to the TRD Pro suspension and add the westcott lift kit. Along with that I am looking to add 34s 275/80r17. Anyone have this setup? Looking to see how much is rubs. I have 33s currently on stock suspension and rubs a little bit on the UCA

correct me if i'm wrong but...... I don't think 275/80r/17 are 34s.... rubbing also depends on wheels spec too. Sometimes people get away from rubbing/cutting

You'll need upper control arms to get caster into spec as well as maxing out the stock lower bolts.

You'll need a CMC, pinch weld clean up, and some plastic trimming.

Offset on the wheels needs to be close to 0.

I put on 285/75/17 (34s) about two weeks ago with the Eibach lift (around 2inch) with RRW RR7H wheels (17x9 -12offset) and JBA uppers. It rubbed like hell on the cab mount/back of fender liner/pinch weld and on the front bumper/front of fender.

Trimmed and heat molded the front bumper and did cmc/pinch weld smash/fender liner trim. I need to cut the cab mount back further because it still rubs.

Basically if you really want to go 34s, you're going to need to cut/trim A LOT.

Do you think if a skinnier tire would make a difference? I'll cut the fender but the cab mount is a little too much for me right now.

You will need to cut the mount. Period. Or stick with 33's.

You're talking about a tire that is less than half an inch narrower, the difference will be negligible. If you like to turn then you'll need to cut the cab mount.

I have 33s (285/75/R16) on stock Pro suspension. Minimal rubbing on the liner at full turn with flex as well as full turn in reverse. 1.25" spacers introduced a LOT of rubbing on the cab mount.

I got the same exact size right now. The only place I rub is on my UCA when my steering is maxed. Are you rubbing on the cab mount when steering is maxed or just when flexed?

Have pics? I have 285/70/17 Yoko Geolander MTs but thinking about going to 285/75 on basically same Setup (Icon Stage 4) w/ JBAs I already have a aggressive BMC and Front bumper won't be an issue. I only haven't done pinch weld.

I took the spacers off and no more cab rub. I haven't noticed a lot of rubbing on the UCA, but there was some. Seems most of it was on the plastic liner.
Green adds 10 HP and makes the transmission shift perfectly :broccoli:

As long as you don't mind chopping the frame all the way to the back door you can fit those in

The tire brand also makes a difference, not all "same size" tires are the same. 33 are already hard to fit with a 2'' lift so 34s will be even more so. Make sure your wheel offset is as close to 0 as possible.

I fit 33's without any cutting at all and no rubbing. 275/70R18 on stock Limited wheels that have a 0 offset.

Yeah exactly. I'm not sure why everyone says 33s are hard to clear. I'm running 33s with no lift and it's perfect.
