Eh, you can get certified during the job application process even.

With that said, you've got plenty of experience already to do work for others.

 

Maybe. I feel like I’m half decent with light weight mild steel and a MIG, but anything else and I’m off in the weeds. Would want to have a better background in the long run, but maybe I do have enough to start if I can find a niche (fence and handrail repair maybe)

Coincidentally, my company is in the middle of formalizing the title progression for software devs. It's all been ad-hoc so far... software devs are just a little piece of the company's head count but we're growing fast.

 

I love the idea of the pay but I think it would sour the pleasure of driving too much for me. I can't find a better job right now and that's not an entirely bad statement, it might just mean I'm in a good position for once.

 

Once my double cab is back up a trip to Montana might be in the plans. I've been suffocating here since 2019. Just looking back at old photos when I used to travel and do things.

Summer 2023 probably. I like going up north in the summer because it lets me escape the heat here.
