Pull forward 6 inches and stand on their hood while you load the groceries

if you "pull thru" at a grocery store, you should expect to have the rear blocked in. Especially if you were thoughtful enough to leave the extra space.
Most people "pull in" thereby leaving the trunk space unobstructed.

I carry all bags in one load with no cart...

Home Depot would be different story and I'd be the dick shoving a 2x4 through their windshield and laying plywood on their hood to load up... The way over the line part is what bugs me.

Funny that 2x4 might actually cost more than the windshield these days :D

FYI - I don't believe the 2nd/3rd gen tool with work on your 1st gen without modifying the nut.

Oh. Can't blame anyone for wanting to hide the fact they own the worst gen Tacoma.

the 2nd battery for my Ecoflow River showed up today.
The actual unit will be here tomorrow.
    The suspense is real.
I wanna hit the road early Friday morning. So not much time for testing, balancing, etc, whatever.

Jeez, they really ought to plow such critical infrastructure :D

    DJI_0971.jpg

I figured the dry side of the road would hold me. Nope. I've pushed through early fall drifts, but never spring snow, and didn't realize there was a solid sheet of sloped ice under there. Then the hillside was so loose it kept sucking me further sideways. Wound up using 2WD to get oriented kinda uphill with only one wheel left on the road, then I could claw my way back up past the drift. Spent quite some time throwing rocks back up the hillside afterwards.

    DJI_0970.MP4_snapshot_02.22.000.jpg

The remaining drifts weren't as scary from a slide-to-your-death perspective, but I didn't want to push my luck any more. Plus there were some boulders that would need to be winched or levered off the road somehow. Took me forever to clear the first drift and backtrack to CB, then US50 was closed west of Gunnison! Wound up getting home a whole day late and missing work.

But hey, someone else had a much worse day up there than I did:

Here's the 'between' shot... I set the camera out on a tripod on my first break from shoveling, and it ran out of memory before I was done, but you get the idea.

FREE FISHING POLE (if you can find it!)

If it's not clear yet, I'm kind of an idiot. I absent-mindedly left my tailgate down after gassing up in Leadville last weekend, and didn't realize it until I stopped for a photo by the Diamond shaft mine. It didn't seem that anything had fallen out, but now that I'm unpacking, I realize I'm missing this fishing pole. So it may well have fallen out somewhere east of Leadville. I headed out of town on 11th street east, looped around hopelessly lost on some gravel roads, and eventually wound up on the paved county road heading to Mosquito Pass. If you're in the area and want a cheap collapsible spinning rod and tackle set that's probably been run over, look for a small black case on the roads east of Leadville.
