does anyone know of a place to buy adhesive vynil for my lower vallence i know sockmonkey sells it but from what i understand he just sells a sheet you have to cut so im thinkin i can just go buy a sheet somewhere local and save myself some time and shipping cost ........

 

any local sign/vinyl shop.. they might even install it pretty cheap if you dont feel like tackling it yourself.

 

if you do it yourself, you may need a heat gun.

 

a heat gun to heat it up before install or after i apply it to make it stick?

 

the heat gun is for stretching and conforming the vinyl


if you find someone/place that says they can sell you a "pre cut" kit for that area, i would love to talk to them. (technically mine is "pre-cut"....in the shape of a rectangle )

you cannot pre cut a shape for something that is compound contoured.
the vinyl has to be stretched into place.

exaggerated example: put a piece of paper on a basketball....doesn't work

 

i called a couple places they said they would sell me a sheet but i didnt say what i was doing with it. what would be the difference between your sheet and thiers just curious. dont get me wrong im not trying to detour people from buying from you just trying to save some cash i still plan on buying some bedside decals as soon as i make up my mind on which ones i want

Or for an even cheaper route get a can of plasti dip and spray it. I did that on mine.

 

where can you get plasti dip i never see it at home depot how well has it held up i was thinking about spraying it but think vinyl will last longer

 

If it doesn't work for you... you can always just peel it off. Home depot in west Sac or Natomas has it for sure.

Yeah it's in the spray paint section.

 

same here, i've had it since before winter and has had salt and everything else on it and still looks great. give it a shot, worst case your out 8 bucks

I got some plastidip from Ace hardware. They didn't have it in stock but ordered it and it was shipped to the store at their cost.
