Here is mine, still need a throttle cable for it. Or is there a place to buy just a throttle cable cap end?

Are you sure that's a throttle cable? Mine just had a safety cable running from the safety bar to the engine.

These mowers were full throttle or nothing.

I wouldn’t mind all or nothing! Seriously who uses a mower at slow speed?

A couple of years back, my daughter bought a house with a relatively small yard. I got her and "EGO" mower, she hates gasoline, pulling to start and all that other icky stuff. She has used it a since and will not got to gasoline. She bought several other of their tools and uses the same battery of them.

@koditten more that I thought about it I am sure I could jerry rig a throttle stop that pulls out a little way for choke and then when pushed in its at full speed only.

I had a 1970s model with a primer bulb, no choke, it had a lever down on the carb marked: Low -- High
It would burble happily along on the low setting through just about anything.

An older fellow drove about 100 miles round trip to buy it not running, he seemed delighted to get it.

Sounds exactly like the one I have sitting beside my shop. Broke pull starter. Never got around to fixing it.

mine does the task fine for my needs but if money wasnt a factor id but a bigger one. getting a huge pile ready is key to save time, gas, and pulls getting it started.
