What are you streaming on Amazon, Netflix, etc?

A LITTLE too woke feeling right from the start.
And, i miss the soundtrack score from M. Manson, they should have recycled it from the first movie .

 

I had zero expectations after what Netflix did to Cowboy BeBop.

 

Pearl Harbor attack Minute by Minute on Netflix is quite good.

yeah I read an interesting article on the real life Jake Adelstein and how there's a lot of doubt surrounding much of his claims made in the book he wrote (Tokyo Vice) which of course the show is based on.

Some big network was going to do a documentary on him years ago about it but the network itself pulled out because they couldn't verify that he actually had any real contact with any Yakuza members at all.

He claims he's protecting his sources but he knew going into the documentary that he was going to have to give them something to verify his claims and never did.

 

But on it's own its still a great show, rewatching it now with my wife

 

It is. It’s a nice snapshot of Japan at that time. It’s as gritty as they got since WWII.

In reality the Japanese police wouldn’t team up with a white boy gaijin reporter and jeopardize their investigation of the yakuza (since everything he’d obtain would be inadmissible in Japanese court).

 

season 4 of the boys is out? I thought it was season 3.

3 was better than 2. I actually didnt mind the ending. Too much octopus fucking though.

West World season 4. It’s better than season 3 (so far).

 

Oof. I’m one episode in. I’ll see if I get into it after the third one… good idea with the free trial week.

 

It's completely whacked. Episode 4 has the crazy guy from Raised by Wolves. Central theme is Bill of course but other (back) stories running too. Violent and nasty. I think 2 of 4 episodes have cannibalism.
