Looks similar to the one I used. I mounted my horizontally due to height of the extinguisher and the Bakflip I have installed.

Does this get in the way of your feet at all while entering/exiting or driving the truck? I need a good place to mount mine.

The way I see it as an ex-FF is if my engine compartment goes code three there is zero chance of popping the hood, opening the latch and letting my struts push open the hood without sustaining third degree hand and face burns. Shit gets real in seconds. That said, I carry a short, fat 5# ABC on the floor behind the driver seat just bouncing along in case the one in a million opportunity presents itself. Not my rig, mind you, but ya never know.

How did you mount that to the bed railing?

One of my first mods. I used Quikfists instead of the metal clamps. I like those more, ha. Where can I get those?

I'm not going to say that I never kick it, but I rarely kick it. Maybe one in 50 times I'll hit it with my foot.
I used a mount from desert does it. https://desertdoesit.com/products/front-multi-mount-panel
It's reasonably pricey, but when I started thinking about DIYing something I was going to be at least a few hours into cutting something to fit so I just threw money at the problem.

I put a fire extinguisher purchased from Costco under the driver’s seat installed on a fabricated mount.

I used the Desert Does It mount and MMP plate. I never notice it, but if someone with short legs needs to drive the truck it does limit forward adjustment of the seat. I'm 5'10" and could move the seat only about 1 inch further forward without hitting the extinguisher. With a smaller extinguisher the seat could slide over it.

Mine came with the Kit. Mag light wall mounts work well also. Just make sure to buy the right size.

Nice man, I was legit just checking that MMP and extinguisher mount from DDI. What size extinguisher do you have? Lol I’m 5’11” and I’m worrying if I’ll have that problem.

It is the DDI Large Fire Extinguisher Mount with a First Alert 2.2 Kg (4lb 13 oz) extinguisher.

Did you use a backer plate? Was looking at a similar mount and was concerned about just bolting to thin plastic there in the bed.
