    Had occasion to speak with some NYS Park Rangers yesterday while doing a little wheeling. It would appear that Suffolk County is considering not opening Smith Point to off road vehicles anymore due to the incident that shut the beach down. As in, ever again. From what they told me someone ran over a fence, through the dunes and crushed some nests. That really sucks because I loved going there, it's pretty much the only place I've found on the Island with any halfway cool trails. Some of the cuts were a lot of fun.

    From the Suffolk county parks twitter it looks like most of the other outer beach vehicle access areas are closed as well. Is this all due to the single incident? Definitely a bummer.

    I'm looking at bilstiens as of now, kings and all that other good stuff are cool and all but seem a little overkill for what NY has too offer. Finally paid off my truck a couple months ago and now the urge to splurge on what I've been wanted to do for a long time has crept up on me lol

    Bilstein's and springs is a pretty simple job. If you buy the shocks and springs assembled (for the front), you're pretty much just unbolting and replacing. It really is not as involved as people think. I did my truck and two others this year alone. All in my driveway.
