Looks like TOYO AT3s have a new size of 34/10.50/17 which shows the tires size of 33.5 X 10.6 in a D rating but a hefty 55lbs. This might be a better suited tire for some running skinnies like the 255/80s or maybe a better fit than the 285/70/17. Anyone running this size or seen it? Wonder if they would work on my TRD 4Runner Pro wheels and a slight lift?

    Oh look, another mod....

    A side-by-side comparison shows they're almost equal:

They'll be easier to fit than 285/70-17. How much trimming you'll need depends on the suspension components you use and the alignment cam bolts setting.

I think they will fit, minor trimming but really wanting the 275/70/in a SL or C rated so hoping TOYO will release it soon. Pizza cutters are too darn skinny and 285s are a pain but 275s are no issue! Falken I think makes the 275 in SL or C rated.

How much does the 34’s weight. I looked at some other brand and they listed at ~80 lbs.

Edit , looked it up says 55 lbs.

Next question, will a spare fit under the truck?

To give you options, depending on your preference, Ko2's also come in that size.

    >> (33.5" x 10.6)

Thats what I'll be trying this winter.
While I have stock suspension I'm hoping my Accutune A-Arms will allow it to clear without too much trouble.
(Will be upgrading everything else later)

Looking into 275s to avoid trimming, but dam those Wildpeaks are heavy, and gas prices are sky high. how do they feel?

In my opinion bfg's are awefull to keep balanced and dry rot. Been running them for 25 plus years, beautiful tire but they suck in the rain and always have since I used them in the 80s. Been on Toyo open country AT2 for 4 years and looking forward to the at3s. Maybe got to a 275 if they come out in SL rating. Don't think the 34s will fit and not looking for more height.

Same, i have stock size ATIIs, but they suck in rain at this point and dry rot has taken over (i live in south texas, average heat now is 105), they are pushing 6 years old, the AT3s in 265/70 are fairly light, so might move to that vs 275 for now.

I love the power my Tacoma has with the kdmax pro tune, TRD cai, TRD exhaust and some light 265/70/17 SL on my 4runner pro wheels. Very quick and great gas mileage and not really looking to loose that so maybe a nice 275 SL rated in my radar. Not really wanting to recalibrate the old speedo with the hypertech.

I have a feeling if we wait for a light 275, we will never get new tires :( . Falken has C rated, but they are pushing 60#, i dont get it.

I would consider a C rated but who has one? Not liking the Falken or BFGs as they run small and just over them.

Yup, just gonna place order for 265/70 AT3s, and maybe in 5 years there will be a better 275 option for us. Hopefully around 45#s!

I’ve had Toyo AT3s in the C load LT285/75R17 flavor (33.9x11.3) on my 4runner for about a year and a half and they’ve been awesome in everything… snow, rain, dirt, rocks, nice on the highway too. I prefer them over the Wildpeaks I have on my Tacoma (the Toyos were a lot easier to balance and ride smoother even though they’re a lot bigger). Anyway, they’re another option for a truer 34 if you can fit em…
