    Yeah, that's what I mean.
    I inherited my Dad's 1911A1.
Didn't fit my hand and I could barely hit a barn from the inside with it. :p

Come to think of it, I haven't washed my truck in over two years... unless you count when I turn on the sprinkler underneath it after a Uwharrie trip.

    Sorry, I was unclear.

On the Taurus PT-92 (and the early Beretta 92) the safety and decocker were one and the same, and mounted on the frame.
You draw the weapon and sweep your thumb downwards to take it off safe.
To my mind, this is more natural, as it can be done in one motion, as your thumb is on its way to completing your grip.
No reaching upwards to the slide to take it off safe.

As I understand it, this was one of the gripes of service members, particularly those with smaller hands.

To decock the PT-92, simply press the lever down further.
You may say, doesn't that make it too easy to decock?
Not really, it's a separate click with a little more resistance and at that point the lever is at a different angle, parallel with the bore.

On the Beretta M9, the decocker is indeed on the frame, just below the hammer.

Although not so spoiled that he would be allowed to come outside harness free during our swallow season. He's currently on a bird free diet.
