    750 Cost about the same as a MS3 Goldbox (had one of those before), Haltech just has better support and a larger built in feature set. Depends on what your time is worth too, not having to cobble a harness together is worth the chunk of coin to me

    Ya the "MS3 Pro" as they call them are a lot more (like $1500, still 1/2). But ya more features that we don't really need though. That link I posted seems to be the only hardware you need and it gets you access to the same tables as the 750. It might be a little jenky in some areas, and soldering is time-consuming but kinda therapeutic, but ultimately it's not like I'm doing this to make money or win drag races here.

    Yeah I wasn't sold on the guy who markets that kit so I opted to avoid it. I just got a harness patch, 750, and WB1. The WB1 and 750 came from MAPerformance and the harness was from boomslang (awesome guys BTW, seriously excellent customer service and knowledge). I came out ready to run from that at just shy of $2100 after shipping and taxes

    If you think the spending stops at $600 I think you'll find yourself dissapointed if you want a feature set commensurate with even the stock ECU. You'll need a controller or kit for wideband at the very least and you'll have to make the harness still (I get it, its not hard, but it is tedious and MS isn't as refined internally so you'll have to do filtering for some circuits manually)

    That's kind of the reason I always looked at the ms3 Gold box, all the other ones seem to be lacking features unfortunately that even most lower level ecus from other companies have.

    Crank sensor fixed the trigger issues. No other issues right now. I am waiting for injectors to come in before any further tuning.

    Luckily I've had a wideband for a while at least. I just opened the base map from DIYAutoTune and it looks like they do an RPM to Load axis, so that's a little disappointing. Not sure if you can change it. It's also another $70 to unlock the "auto tune" part of DIYAutoTune lmao

    That is a little odd that that's how they set the axes up, but I bet you that is changeable depending on what you have equipped for sensors. The auto-tune for the fuel map is actually pretty solid we used it on an E30 build with an MS2 plug and Play and it did a pretty good job, the White band didn't have any fluctuation and I don't even think we had accurate dead times for the injectors

    Expensive for sure, but when you consider that it includes a basemap, tuning, a wideband, and a PNP harness, for someone who doesn’t want to get down and dirty it might be worth it

    And that's the key phrase here....
    I may go Speedy's route just for the quality of the Haltech, but figuring out the wiring sans-PnP harness seems sucky

    Yeah, I was just comparing it to the kit I got from them last year. IIRC, I paid $2800 for the complete kit with Elite 2000. I think at that time, the same kit with the 750 was $2400.
