Whoa, you mean to tell me that because they have a banner next to a Rolex banner that is why you know this product is good? I have a Rolex. Let me tell you that watch is the biggest piece of unreliable junk I own. I have spent close to in repairs to what I paid for it. It loses about 2 minutes a week. If I don't put it on the winder, it stops and will likely need a trip to the shop, but it is a Rolex. Now, lets get back to your oil. You haven't provided a single bit of evidence that there is anything wrong with any major brand of oil. You posted what appears to be a lie about an oil failure. You posted a silly "I changed my oil" video on youtube. Your only justification for your oil is that the Europeans use it. Ok, so when did the Europeans become lubrication experts? There is a lot of things that Europeans do that is simply stupid, but you want us to believe that they know oil? Come on man, you have to be smarter than that. Please tell us that you missed April 1 and wanted to play a joke.

The higher price is from the Group IV and V base stocks. It's expensive to manufacture, but does hold up to heat and flows at extremely low temps, also they don't shear like dino oils. Check out bobistheoilguy, every oil and topic has been discussed ad nauseam.

LOL, no he doesn't. He cooks it on a griddle.

There's nothing scientific about that test. What's the specified flow rate? Are they within spec? Where's the chemical analysis of the condition of the oil after being cooked? How do the proprietary friction modifiers in both oils hold up over time? And what affect do they have on long term wear?

Its a silly little YouTube video for people looking for validation. That testing isn't anything resembling scientific.

All that said, there's nothing wrong with using Amazon oil if you so choose. But at least be honest with yourself about the fact that it's the bare minimum.

What I didn't see in the video. No hood struts, No Fumoto Valve, No aluminum oil filter housing.

Look I get it, the video isn't for you, you think its silly. Did you read this thread? The whole thing is silly. Here the actual definition of science "the intellectual and practical activity encompassing the systematic study of the structure and behavior of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment." As you can see its a very, ahhhh "loose" definition and the video certainly qualifies. People here were screaming for "actual data" and though I would leave some. If you read my later post you will see that he actually sends all the oil out for analysis at one point. I think the video is interesting at best, but I make my oil decisions based on my own oil analysis not youtube.

What kind of analysis? Also I like PF. I think his testing is valid for what it is.

From different oil brands? Same miles and all that?

I did a few oil analysis at 10k intervals with Mobil 1 and the lab said the oil still had life in it, so 10k with Mobil 1 is what I'm doing. I'm sure there are better oils out there but I'm not gonna test 30 different brands of oil to find the best one, would complete testing at 300k and like a decade from now if I started when the truck was new.

Had a 88 4runner and used Pennzoil every 3,000 miles. Sold it with 360,000 miles and still ran like new/didn't burn a drop (mostly highway.) My 2007 uses Mobile 1 and gets changed out every 1,000 miles which comes out to about every 6 months (short trips and towing.) As long as you change it out on a regular basis i don't think it matters what brand you use.

This is also what I think. Keeping it clean and using a high quality filter is all that matters.

It’s good to know that it works. I’ve always trusted that brand but the only actual data you have is that mobile 1 works. Every other brand could perform just as well and probably does.

There are also crypto currency banners flying around during F1 races, doesn't mean I am going to sell my house, friend Elon on Twitter, and become a crypto-bro. :D
