    Hello,
I'm looking at purchasing the Carhartt Custom Realtree camo seat covers for my friend for their birthday. But they don't have his exact trim/model of tacoma the only options for the 2013 tacoma on the website are: base, pre-runner, and x-runner.

Based off pictures, sneaky lines of questioning and a lot of google searches I'm pretty sure they have a 2013 TRD Sport Tacoma. So basically I'm wondering what ones I should get for them or where I can find ones that will fit. Thanks.

OK first off welcome to Tacoma World and you are a good friend to go through all the trouble.

"Base" trim covers most things but doesn't tell the whole story. Pre-Runner just means it is a 2 wheel drive only (i.e. no 4 wheel drive). X-Runner is another type of trim package where the truck is lowered with some fancier exterior styling. None of them mean much of anything, although the "Base" designation refers to the majority of Tacomas on the road. The "Sport" package tells us a little bit more, but again not the whole story.

What it really comes down to is does your friend have 2 doors, 4 doors, or extended cab? Do you have a link where you are buying the seat covers from so we can see what you are seeing for options?

Had them in my second gen. Purchased from Covercraft. They were lifesavers. Did lots of camping with that truck. Dog did lots of swimming. The seat covers were practically waterproof, pretty sure I spilled a entire big gulp in the passenger seat and it never touched the fabric underneath. They were snug but not a pain in the ass to install like PRP or clazzios. Would buy again.

Are the Carhartt the ones with the organization on the back? Or are those Smittybuilt?

They do have a large pocket on the back, but it does not organize too much. It is just a pocket covering most of the seat back.

The reason I'm looking at these ones is because theyve specifically shown me these ones in the past.

Yeah it was the Smittybuilt GEARS covers I was thinking of. They only make them for jeep, but I don't see why they wouldn't fit our trucks...

I have gotten a number of sets from this company and really like them. They take awhile to install but once you are done they look like factory leather.

If you go through the checkout on that site, select "Base", then the big red "Continue" button and it will give you choices for which seats and what they look like. Match up the pictures to what your friend has.
