This bottle continues to grow on me every time I drink it. One of my favorites for the under $30 category.

Much cooler today, just finished a couple hours on the zero turn. Time for bourbon and a Ribeye.

I know nothing whatsoever about Irish whiskey but decided to start learning today. Picked up a bottle of Redbreast 12, which research leads me to believe is a good starting point.

Also found some Rebel 10 Year SiB (Heaven Hill juice) and grabbed one of those as well.

If you don't like the neck pour of the Redbreast, leave the bottle for a week or two then revisit it. I remember that from when I bought a bottle.

Redbreast is a great Irish Whiskey, if you can snag the Lustau version it is delicious!

I love that Rebel 10yr, they’re surprisingly hard to come by. In fact if i remember right I think I over paid a little just because I found one in stock. Don’t know anything about the Redbreast but I do see it for sale. Let us know!

My local ABC had 5 in today at 99.99 a pop. Took one with me. Not sure what accounts for the rarity, but it could be the age. Lots of risk to older bourbons.

Label says barreled in 2009, and Luxco wasn't distilling their own stuff then, so it's aged Heaven Hill wheated mashbill, which means it's probably Very Old Larceny in reality.

Which I am absolutely 100% fine with, even at $100.

I really like Basil Hayden. For the price point it’s very nice.

hmmmmmm $100 is what i paid, I honestly thought that was high, I thought MSRP was $80, of course like everything maybe it used to be $80 and like gas it got more expensive.

Looks like my bottle was barreled on 9/30/09 so likely the same juice.

Well done!!!!! I’d love to own three of those. Alas I only have one.

My local ABC had a bottle of this on the shelf for 135 today. I passed hard. I'm not paying over 100 for a bottle with no age statement and not willing to tell me who actually made it.

I thought I only had one left so I grabbed two for me and one for my brother turns out I had two on the shelf so now I have 4. Should be good for a little while. They got six in the store today.

That may be one of my new favorites. The brother-in-law brought a bottle to 4th of July. Just a damn good bourbon.
