Are you running axle shims with the new leafs? These supposedly help with vibration...I installed them along with my Dakars so don't know if I would have had vibes without

No sir. I didn't use shims because my one piece driveshaft took care of the driveline angle. Unfortunately i didn't take any pictures, but I will soon.

    here's the rear setup:
Tom Woods 1 piece rear driveshaft - recently greased
    Deaver stage 3 leaf pack

I removed my rear 3/4" spacers. I tried to clean up the hub as much as I could, but maybe it needs more. Also might be due for rear brakes soon. I saw the rear wheels dont have any balancing weights/all fell off.

Made an appointment to get all wheels rebalanced on 8/4, and luckily dont need to go anywhere far until then. i guess ill just go to work and hope my wheels don't fall off :fingerscrossed:

How the heck do ALL of your weights fall off? Shop you got them installed at won’t rebalance them for free?

it wasnt a shop.. More like 2 guys in a garage with a mount/balance machine. I dont feel confident going back if they didnt get it right the first time.

Shops like Midas, and the local tire shops are claiming the hub is too big. There is a "specialty truck" shop that deals with those DUB trucks and putting 30s on an Escalade, but I also havent dealt with them before.

My buddy @DOUBLLD says maybe I dont need road force balancing, and that a standard balance will be fine. Just as long as they dont double stack the weights. Maybe I need to go in there and clean the wheels from all the brake dust before bringing to the shop..

So thinking about this for a list:
    X2 Group 24 (or maybe a 27) AGM battery - $380
    new front hubs - $325
    @ARCHIVE u-bolt flip kit, option 3 - $270
    3x Moog 270 u-joints - $45
    ---- yikes, ~$1050
plus I might do a road force balance - ~$100

    second list:
    extended wheel studs - $65

Asked my neighbor, and he said the vibration is probably u-joints. Coasting is basically no torque on the driveshaft, so thats why I dont feel anything at that time. But when I slightly touch the gas pedal, torque is applied, and the bad u-joint becomes present. Makes sense, for a driveline related issue. I thought mine were good, but just in case, I ordered 3x more.

Tom Woods calls for 1310 series, so Im going to try non greasable ones this time. Maybe I can get them in this week, but its looking like rain all week. Birthday is next weekend, so probably wont put them on then either. Soon though..

Will throw the u-bolts on as soon as I can though. @ARCHIVE do you include recommended torque for them? I thought it was ~100 ft-lb.

Truck is back. Wheels are rebalanced. One is out of balance according to the road force, but will monitor on next rotation.

Ordered 1310 u-joints for the driveshaft vibration, per Tom Woods spec.

next up, need battery. X2 Power hopefully next week. Supposedly battery tested low, so I hope i can make it, even though the solar is trickle charging it and when I drive it does

Gah, 10% off X2 battery is calling my name, because i can get it locally. Im 60% about to order it to take advantage of the sale.

Has anyone fit a group 24 into the same spot? Or what size do i need to get? 27? 27F?
