Alright, giving some feedback here. I got to test this thing out in Moab and couldn't be happier with the results. Took some hard hits and was surprised by clearance and the points of contact on the trails we did. Cheers again to Morgan for such fine craftsmanship!

P.S. the r4t bumper caps fit perfectly with the bumper if you're afraid of trimming anything up front. I wanted a cleaner line look and it came out perfect, I just had to to trim the fenders and we were good to go!

A few weeks after placing my order, I finally got Baja Designs’ LP9s installed on the bumper. Bright AF.

Good to know those R4T bumper caps work with it! I didn’t know those existed. Thanks Art!

Finally got my bumper on yesterday. Two remaining questions, I did email Morgan but wanted to check with others too.

He gave me four of the 4" grade 8 bolts, but I can only find places for two. Only two get used, right?

Those who have BD Squadron fogs, what bracket are you attaching to the fogs? Mine have the brackets that fit into the stock bumper. Im assuming I need something like this? [IMG]

Yes you need the brackets in the picture to mount the lights

That’s what I figured. I thought they came with my original lights but I can’t find them. I don’t see them offered from BD but others carry them so no big deal. Bigger issue is the screws holding the current brackets are seized and I stripped the heads…

It’s the Allen screw holding on the bracket in my picture a few posts up. It’s a stainless screw into aluminum so the dissimilar metals is causing the issue. Before I go trying to drill it out I’m going to call BD and see if it’s something their warranty will cover. Worth a shot before I go boogering up a perfectly good light otherwise.

I was asking about the 4 inch bolts but those small Allen heads were a nightmare to takeoff they have Loctite on them from the factory. I’m in Brewster so if you have any questions about the bumper or lights let me know I’m only 20 minutes away you can check out my bumper and how I mounted all my stuff

He sent me four of these. One goes on each side through the bracket he provided and through the frame. No mention of another pair in the instructions and no obvious other place for them.

Where the other two bolt holes are in Morgan’s bracket you will have a plastic clip on the frame on either side. Just pop those plastic clips off in the bolt goes right through

Morgan set me straight. They weren’t extra, they go through the crossmember from front to rear. I read the directions 25 times and still missed it somehow

Here are pics of where I put those two bolts. Morgan @At The Helm can correct me if I put them in the wrong spot, lol.

From the front (right/passenger), looking through the lower opening in the bumper.
    IMG_5342.HEIC.jpg

From the side (right/passenger). You can see the bolt through the hole going through the cross member and the nut (arrows).

Got my BD brackets today but I’m back with another fog light install question.

The foglight cutouts are not parallel with the direction of the truck, rather they’re angled outboard. My BD squadrons came out of the stock bumper, so they have the angled bezel. Weather I put the bezel on the inboard or outboard side I can only have the lights angled outboard, not directly straight ahead.

Is the bumper designed to angle the fogs outboard (totally fine if it is but want to make sure I know all options), or is my bezel at fault? I can try rotating the bezel to the top.

Call BD. They’ll have the flat bezels to you in 3 days

I have another pair of squadrons with those bezels so I just tested it out. Even with the flat bezels I can’t get the light to be directly in line with the direction of the truck. The light can’t be moved forward enough without creating a shadow / dead zone in the middle of the light pattern anyway so I don’t think the $33 bezels would be worth it.
