Hot Wheels

Yea Im aware of the resell value. I didn't take the time and effort to hold onto these to sell. Like all the hotwheels, the one and only reason I held onto them was to give to my son. They have moved with me from home to home over a span of 30+ years and as a kid until I started an actual career I moved every 6-12 months. It was a lot of work. Unless the collection we have could pay for his college education, were opening and playing with everything! LOL. I do appreciate the info though.

 

I never had any children to pass everything on too. Your son is lucky to have a dad like you!

Nice. You have no idea how lucky you are living in an area where you can find things like that 4 Runner. While at Canfield last week I was talking to a vendor who works with me sometimes on prices and I showed him a list of what I am looking for and half of it he has never seen including several pieces you posted. He actually had to look some of them up to know what I was talking about. He said he orders a lot of what he sells but also said it was brutal in the stores with so many vendors in our area casing them out. I just bought a couple 80s Silverado's (Autoworld) for $8 at Diecastmodelswholesale.com. At Canfield they were going for $15. I told one vendor that he priced himself right out of my market when I was looking at model kits that used to sell last year for $22 and were now $30.

Speaking of special cars.. I found what they call a "Chase" car today... someone is selling one of these on E b a y for $125!!





Also picked up a few cool trucks.

For the record @RLMoody the AWs were $5.99 at Target.

 

Hartville Flea Market score. Hell with going to Walmart anymore.
I just got back with $76 less in my pocket but I think I did pretty good. I scored the 4 Hot Wheels drag cars for $1 each from a totes that were full of 90s Hot Wheels. Was not a dealer just a guy who bought to much stuff. The black Willys pick up and 4x4 Silverado were with a bunch of cars marked $5. The Don Prudhome dragsters I got for $12. The case was damaged on the one. The 2 1/18 scale die-cast 41 Willy's were $75 but I got them for $50. The one is mint and the other will need new paint. I offered the guy $50 and he said no way and countered with $65. I walked away and said Ill stop by when I'm leaving to see if he changed his mind. He took my money this time and grumbled.
They will all be modified / repainted and have wheel swaps when I post them again.
Any of you guys with Real Rider wheels on Hot Wheels want to get rid of them let me know The wheels are worth $3 a car if you have what I am looking for. I dont care about the bodies.

I’m cutting down on my diecast purchases a bit because I need to accessorize my new 1:1 Taco. But next Tuesday I’m going for the RLC ‘62 Ford Pickup. It is beautiful.

Walked in to Bi-Mart, looked at HWs...$1.20 each.
Fred Meyers $5 for 4 cars....Boooo. Was $4 for 5 cars a week or 2 ago.
Seems like just the single car cards went up, looked like the multi packs stayed the same.
FU inflation.
