Nothing. For the first (I'd say) 4-5 months I purposely tried to get my leaf pack to shift and cause some trouble. I'd take weird angles solely to flex the truck out and try to get them to rub but couldn't. After that I just forgot about it until I washed the truck yesterday and checked on them. A year later and still no issues.

Awesome, that's great to hear. I have stock shackles so far but got a bit worried after reading all of this... Thanks for the input!

If you're going to buy springs from Australia where they only speak "Hilux", then prepare to trim the packs for your Tacoma. They could fix their issue at any time, but they seem to like making a product that doesn't function properly.

Here's a pic of the the new 3rd iteration of Dakars, they got worse AGAIN. This one hadn't even been on the road yet.

There was no mention of Hilux. They are described as leaf springs for Tacoma 2005-2022. I'll see how they do. I could provide some input once I get the HH

No, the Australians only comprehend Hilux shackle arrangement, so that's the problem when they're selling springs for a Tacoma.

I wish I would've known of this issue... They are on their way so there is no turning back now. I'll report back.

Happens with STOCK hangers , here's 2 customers with stock hangers and Dobinsons 112s BEFORE they switched to HH.

I'm confused, so this won't happen if I get HH shackles?

    Yikes! That's bad.

My were only *chef's kiss* to the shackles before HH+3.6"fab shacks.

Been holding up great by the way, started eating tires as it's just so much fun on and hopefully very soon again off road!

My trucks so heavy but the HH and cross tube made it feel tossable again, especially with my new solid engine and trans mounts it just feels performance but I need to get my gusseted spindles and wheel bearings which is today's project done before I can go play hard in the dirt again.

It will happen with ANY hanger you run, BECAUSE the issue is with the SPRING DESIGN
This is not aimed at you, but at the community at large
THERE'S ONLY 1 WAY TO FIX THE SPRING ISSUE......IT'S TO FIX THE SPRING ISSUE

Hey @ARCHIVE - update from Dobinsons on the shackle issue. Sounds more like a “it’s not me, it’s you”…

and don’t throw Crikey under the bus, as he’s not Dobinsons.

Interesting update, unfortunately seems like the customer has to solve the issue. I've done more than most would to explain this to Dobinsons and ARB and the customers living with the interference
I like Dobinsons springs besides this issue

I've been liking mine too, and after a few actual off-road trips (not to the mall), I haven't had any issues, but I need to crawl under again to inspect.

Yeah, sorry to rehash this, I just thought it was interesting that this was the official response from Dobinsons. "If plastic is missing, replace it. There is no issue."

Sooo going from dusty ass oem leafs with an AAL to the RXTs and HHs is like night and day. Originally I was tempted to buy the cheaper BAMF stuff but as someone that fabricates for a living, the Archive stuff is truly top-notch. Install was super straightforward once I took @EatSleepTacos advice and rented a ball joint tool to pop the rivets out. I'll definitely be buying the Archive trail series relocation once I decide to tackle that as well

Hey @ARCHIVE, I'm looking to pick up your Shock Relocation Towers 2.5 x 14 in mid travel kit. I wanted to do my research and look into the install process. Was wondering if the install paperwork is available to read though? I picked up the HH and new shackles also paired them with the cross tub few month back and couldnt be happier. The instructions couldn't be more clear and easy to follow. I imagine they are not too different for the towers. I'm not afraid of doing the work as im a welder by trade. Guess im curios of how to find the new location to weld in the Towers and new brackets on the axle. Few videos i seen didnt go into the detail of the angle/ measurements. Any info woud be sweet, Thanks
