Did I get a Lemon?

Been to service departments many times. Never had any issues like this. They lied multiple times to me, already. Maybe it is time for dealerships to lose all the protections they have and let manufactures do direct to customer sales and service, it was the majority in the USA want.

 

FYI. Toyota is going to be the one fighting the lemon law claim. Last thing they want to do is take your truck back. Now that lemon law has been mentioned they really aren't going to want to help you.

 

Maybe it’s time for you to find another Toyota dealership. You clearly are more interested in “grinding an axe” with this one particular dealer than actually getting your truck fixed.

 

yeah, some people just do not get it. I was not even mad at the dealership. The problem is dealerships just have way too much protection. The shit they get away with is insane.

 

A Toyota case worker is working on getting the truck in for a diagnoses.

 

What are they getting away with? Telling you that your truck is fine which it is? Next dealer and the next dealer are going to say the same. Toyota isn't going to approve warranty labor for a minuscule noise.

Your going to bring the truck to the next dealer and they are going to tell you that the noise isn't cause for concern and there is no reason to start taking things apart.
I literarily went through the same shit with GM. They won't do anything until they see a problem. And since you mentioned lemon law, the new dealer will be instructed on how to handle this case to not incriminate themselves. You will be handed a repair order that clearly states the truck is fine and has zero drivability issues and that no further diag is needs as the vehicle is operating as intended.

I hate to say it but you think Toyota is on your side but they are not. They do not want to give you your money back. Lemon law is a huge pain in the ass for them.

 

They have to help me by law. If there is an issue/problem, then they have to fix it. You do know that right?

 

I know Toyota is not on my side. They did not tell me my truck is ok or not. I even asked Toyota if it is ok or not to drive. They would not give a yes or no.

 

Yea because the reps on the phone no nothing about cars lol. They are call center reps with no mechanical knowledge.

Lol. You mean v6s. Where are all these so call 3rd generation 2.7 that people say they own and make this sound. Why did it not make the sound in the first 3 1/2 months?

I seen a couple post from people here claiming there truck make that same sound, but no videos. Funny, how all the other 2.7 trucks I checked did not make that sound.

You are making a mountain out an anthill.

Whatever problem you think you have will certainly get worse if it is in fact a problem long before you even hit one year of ownership or come remotely close to running out of any warranty. Don't trust Toyota? bring it to a private shop and get their analysis.

What you said is not fact. You have no way of knowing if the problem will get worse before the warranty runs out or after it does. You should play the lottery

 

You got me, feel free to lose sleep, over react and waste much of your time over something that would not bother any normal person.

 

LOL. Now you see and hear the new videos right? The no sound video is how it sounded for the first 3 1/2 months. Funny how a sound people say is normal did not happen in the first 1600 miles, but then just started out of random and does not go away.

 

Sure comes across that way. No trucks are perfect for what everyone expects them to be. Their's always gotta be somebody.
