Front mud flaps to low ..

I pulled into my sons driveway today and the front mud flap hit the ground ,there only about 4 inches off the ground..Looks like I'm going to have to cut about 2 inches off.

 

Same here... takin em off completely.. already ripped the Right rear off backing onto a 6" sidewalk..

 

Yep, this is why I just took all my mudflaps off. Plus it helps you get some great looking mud streaks on the sides of your truck when you go off road!!!

Thanks I think I'm going to put masking tape on the flap where it needs cut mark it and cut it with a jigsaw with a fine tooth blade ,then file the edge smooth.

 

I cut mine with a jig saw an its way better now theres a tread that shows you how on here

 

Tin snips work better IMO. Dremels/sawzall/jigsaws heat the plastic up and leave behind stupid little balls of semi melted plastic that have to be cleaned up afterwards.

Good snips cut through mine like butter with a clean edge.

Then I took them off..heh

 

Don't do anything, they will shorten themselves in due time.

 

I cut mine off today .now have 7 inches of clearance .

 

X2. I cut a template out of carboard, traced with a pencil, and used a fresh pair of tin snips. Its not hard.

 

I cut mine by eye. Now that i have the nubs I can trase perfectly. I used tin snips.

 

Has everyone forgotten there is another solution besides cutting them?
Lift the truck!

 

Lift the truck and trim teh flaps , put on 255/80/17's
