The stat is actually 11:1 in favor of the complainers vs praisers. I try to be that one and not one of the eleven.

I also go to one single Yota dealer for everything I can't do. They've been awesome, zero upselling attempts, straight honest work and no BS.

And only because all my local indie shops are terrible. I don't feel safe driving off the lot of most of these little local shops. They also lie to you and don't know sh*t about basic 4x4 trucks.

How dare you post a positive dealer experience on this forum, and in the same post boasting about a 10k oil change interval. I say Ban @hiPSI for life, lock and delete this thread . call the mods now.

This is no joke. My first Toyota 10k oil change they stripped out the driver's side bolt on my RCI engine skid. They had to drill and tap a larger bolt in, so now I have a 19mm in there along with the original 17mm. Is is the end of the world, no? But it does aggravate me whenever I see it.

That's what I was thinking too. I got a call from the service advisor telling me that they stripped a bolt but they were going to take care of it. When I got my truck back it had the larger bolt in there already. On top of that it was a stainless bolt, which stood out in a sea of black skid plates. I was so pissed but at that point, what was done was done. I ended up replacing it on my own with a black grade 8 bolt

Sometime's there's just not enough depth to use a heli-coil. Look at it this way...at least a stainless steel bolt won't rust

Yep... That's exactly how to dealer man gets you. First they dish out the good stuff but after that it's all downhill.

Honestly, I had no problem with them while the Truck was under their "free" care, or items were TSB related. Once it became a LRC or item out of warranty the true Mothership came out. Up-sell, oh sorry not covered but for a small fortune we can take care of it, and the ole' please come back. Now I only go to them to purchase general maintenance items. Give it time.

If you ever get there, you’ll realize it’s CDO. Same thing, but in alphabetical order the way it SHOULD be. :)
